Buying a 160 gig ipod classic in a few weeks. I think having my entire music collection with me 24 hours a day will be one of those life changing experiences. Kind of like the first time you were using a PVR and hit pause to go to the bathroom.

I was pretty pissed off when i realised the restrictions on my iPod but its well priced, cute and the battery lasts for fucking ages.

Actually I have a Sandisk and a Creative too, but mainly I just use my phone because it holds 4 GB and I don't want to carry additional devices

i have a 40gb ipod photo that i got in high school. it's become nearly unusable now, not to mention it's full. so now i just listen to cds in my car

Yeah, mine is fine too. I have the generation before this one, an iPod video. I think all the iPod hate is generally directed towards all the knobs that think that iPods are the best invention since sliced bread. Kind of like MCR fans, really.

I don't mind the so-called "restrictions" either, it does everything I want or need.

difficult to use? the "restrictions" are what makes them accessible to non-dorks. most people don't have eight computers or care about audio recording or adding music in mass storage mode. only nerds choose products on the basis of feature list length; the "cram as much shit as possible" design approach of manufacturers like creative is what makes things difficult for consumers
