maple leaf is a food company that makes lunch meat. that was recalled. or something like that.

Its blatently about being punched in the jaw by an ultra-nationalist Québécois.

Didn't people die? Or was that somewhere else?

15 people died, 29 people got it. i used to eat their bacon all the time but apparently thats ok.

McDonalds and Subway both used it. Lovely. It can take up to 3 months for it to show up, but I'm gonna bank I'm okay. Still staying away from both of those places for another week-ish or so. (Plant's back open now, so waddya gonna do)

Maple Leaf's apology ad is pretty weak. And horribly framed, might I add. Were they in such a hurry they couldn't put the CEO in the center of the camera viewfinder?

yeah i usually buy ziggy's or president's choice brand lunchmeat and that company that makes the capicolla/salami whatever it's called. no listeria in my house! my bf's best friend's creepy coworker's gf has listeria :erm:
