i was at the record store here in town today and i saw a used copy of The Aeoplane Flies High box set for 7 dollars so i quickly snatched it much to my girlfriends dismay. but when i opened it up i saw that it was missing the Thirty-Three single. so i went up to the counter and i asked the dude there if it was priced as such because it was incomplete. he was like, "oh, um, let me go ask my manager." then the manager said to sell it to me for 3 dollars. it's in really good shape and nothing was written in the "this belongs to" section. so i was really happy.

how hard it is it to find a Thirty-Three single? does the box set have a different pressing than the one that came out on its own?

affirmative. i believe this was placed on top of the cds and under the lid, to avoid the cds damaging the box while being transported/stored.
