Unknown Gen. VHS -> imovie ->extracted audio --> FLAC
Running time 39:38

This show was mislabeled as "Live in Oklahoma 1992" on a tape I purchased that had the 93 Munich show on it, in 1995 at a record show in OKC. Thanks to ognetty for helping me find the correct date for this show!

The audio is OK, about what you would expect from a 1991 audience shot show. Interesting show, classic technical difficulties, Billy telling someone in the crowd "fuck you", and other good banter. Nice view of the pumpkins before they were big. I made track 6 because it proves this show is in Norman OK. Enjoy!!

Setlist

01 Rocket (old lyrics,)
02 Tristessa
03 Bury Me (abandoned, then restarted)
04 Window Paine
05 Siva (w/ intro)
06 "Oklahoma take me away" (talking)
07 Snail

The reason I'm seeking out the Oklahoma shows aside from that being my home state is I read in an old magazine that billy said something like "How does it feel to be standing on stolen Indian land?" during the concert and this caused people to go crazy and someone nailed jimmy in the head with a quarter.

Anyone ever read that article? I cant remember the magazine but it might have been a rolling stone.

Enjoy!

There is a small dropout during To Sheila at 3:43, and there are a
few blips of diginoise throughout the recording; these are most
likely from dirty heads on the tapers deck.

Also, the recording clips every now and than, but mostly at the
beginning of the show (you'll want to kill the screaming girls).

wtf is wrong with you, morals? I said thanks in advance for the only time i didn't say thanks directly and you said you wouldn't send the vid so no reason to check the thread again.

mickyshambles
08-31-2008, 06:40 PM
saying thanks to in advance does not mean that RockLobster, a true stalwart and couragous icon of the pumpkins trading community, doesn't deserve a quick thankyou for his efforts. i mean, this is a man that tens of people 'round here admire and respect. a man that has come from great depths (:erm:) to get where his is right now.
i hope you hang your head in shame, young man.
so, what's the show like anyway? i haven't listened to it myself.

AveryLoren
