He's good, but overrated. Now if you had said most overrated guitarists alive you would have been correct however you fail.

also i think he's definitely one of the world's best contemporary guitarists, much more diverse and interesting than most of the noted guitar "gods"

that said i think his skills would be better applied to writing more song-y stuff, maybe with a vocalist. as good as he is i don't take much enjoyment from extended guitar wank-outs.

you don't really need long fingers to manage crazy stretches. my hands are very normal in size and i can make the stretch he's doing there.

ed: i also just read somewhere that buckethead does use finger extenders sometimes

He suffers from Vai syndrome, insanely talented and technically perfect, but mind numbingly boring. He's from the 80's school of guitar where the goal seemed to be to remove all true emotion from the music.

Yeah, Slash is amazing.
