Maybe Corgan could teachs him a couple of tricks ? Nothing/everything 08-14-2008, 04:06 PM the entire bucket/mask thing is a bit too much for me. Ol' Couch Ass 08-14-2008, 04:07 PM His live show is always pretty fucking awesome. Deric 08-14-2008, 04:09 PM the entire bucket/mask thing is a bit too much for me. Don't care, just listen to his music because in fact he's probably one of the greatest guitarist alive, maybe the best. laaazy 08-14-2008, 04:18 PM hes really good ive never got thru in search of the but bucketheadland vol 2 is one of my favorite albums of all time Rider 08-14-2008, 06:54 PM Don't care, just listen to his music because in fact he's probably one of the greatest guitarist alive, maybe the best. He's good, but overrated. Now if you had said most overrated guitarists alive you would have been correct however you fail. Rider 08-14-2008, 06:58 PM the entire bucket/mask thing is a bit too much for me. http://sneakmove.com/images/bucket-unmasked.jpg If you were that ugly with those freakishly large hands you would feel differently. Deric 08-14-2008, 07:33 PM Fuck that, i've never paid attention to those hands :erm: ??? 08-14-2008, 08:43 PM ^i'm pretty sure he's using some sort of weird rubber finger attachment in that pic, or its a blur. his pinky isn't that long. Rider 08-14-2008, 08:51 PM ^i'm pretty sure he's using some sort of weird rubber finger attachment in that pic, or its a blur. his pinky isn't that long. Sure the pinky is fake but look at his other fingers. smashingjj 08-14-2008, 08:59 PM Boutros Bubba - National Anthems ??? 08-14-2008, 09:00 PM also i think he's definitely one of the world's best contemporary guitarists, much more diverse and interesting than most of the noted guitar "gods" that said i think his skills would be better applied to writing more song-y stuff, maybe with a vocalist. as good as he is i don't take much enjoyment from extended guitar wank-outs. ??? 08-14-2008, 09:02 PM Sure the pinky is fake but look at his other fingers. you don't really need long fingers to manage crazy stretches. my hands are very normal in size and i can make the stretch he's doing there. ed: i also just read somewhere that buckethead does use finger extenders sometimes Streetcrawler89 08-14-2008, 09:17 PM Rider 08-14-2008, 09:17 PM also i think he's definitely one of the world's best contemporary guitarists, much more diverse and interesting than most of the noted guitar "gods" that said i think his skills would be better applied to writing more song-y stuff, maybe with a vocalist. as good as he is i don't take much enjoyment from extended guitar wank-outs. He suffers from Vai syndrome, insanely talented and technically perfect, but mind numbingly boring. He's from the 80's school of guitar where the goal seemed to be to remove all true emotion from the music. Azael 08-14-2008, 09:55 PM He suffers from Vai syndrome, insanely talented and technically perfect, but mind numbingly boring. He's from the 80's school of guitar where the goal seemed to be to remove all true emotion from the music. Fail. Go listen to Soothsayer or Electric Tears and tell me there's no emotion. I'm not denying that he does like to make mechanical noise a lot of the time though. Thaniel Buckner 08-14-2008, 09:56 PM i think it's a little presumptuous to say that his music is emotionless though it does sometimes feel like he's on autopilot. still goddamn amazing though. he's coming to town in october, rider. redbull 08-14-2008, 11:28 PM I think he's much more interesting than Vai or Malmsteen Rider 08-15-2008, 12:44 AM i think it's a little presumptuous to say that his music is emotionless though it does sometimes feel like he's on autopilot. still goddamn amazing though. he's coming to town in october, rider. Yeah I know one of the shows on my I might go to list. SlingeroGuitaro 08-16-2008, 08:22 AM he was bettter when he was just part of the primus side show topleybird 08-16-2008, 12:06 PM Has it pretty much always been known who this guy really is I could have sworn that, around the time he joined up with GNR, there was all this speculation about what famous guitarist was playing under the mask as some kind of alternate identity But perhaps I was just seeing speculation by uninformed morons SlingeroGuitaro 08-16-2008, 12:17 PM http://www.steve.org/photos/lfdir/series/halloween1998/display/buckethead.jpg cardiac 08-16-2008, 02:44 PM Yeah, Slash is amazing. DM: He's brilliant; I love him. But then you see some guy like Buckethead... Buckethead is probably twice as good a guitar player as me and Slash combined, and can stand having fried chicken rubbed up against his face all night for a couple of hours. That's what Dave Mustaine had to say about him.
