Anyone else here going to Baltimore this weekend? I'm especially psyched to see Nine Inch Nails. STP too, although I saw them once already this year. I'm also a fan of Underworld and missed a previous chance to check them out live.

You have no soul if you don't like Wilco. Seriously, what is not to enjoy about this band?

i thought about going to Virgin Fest, but i opted to see NIN in Philly instead. there's not really many other bands playing that i'd want to see.
Bloc Party
Gogol Bordello
She & Him
Iggy And The Stooges
Nine Inch Nails
Bob Dylan
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
The Black Keys

if the lineup was this good for the Toronto VFest, i would probably consider going this year too, but no such luck

This lineup is terrible compared to the first two years of this event, imo. I passed on this years incarnation.

Agreed. Only a handful of bands I wanted to see, all spread out over both days. Plus it's just fucking expensive, especially once you factor in a parking pass.
I went last year the day the Pumpkins played, caught Matisyahu, Interpol, and Explosions in the Sky as well. It was alright. Wish the Pumpkins had played longer.

if you ever said to me "you are out of your mind" when i made a completely sensible, valid point about a band, i would fucking clock you one.

This is the first year I'm not going. Loved the first 2. I like Foo Fighters, but 100+ bucks doesn't interest me. Gogol Bordello is good, but he plays so early in the day I'd never make it. Aww well, maybe next year.

Underworld was great...better than I imagined. The lights and sound were good in the tent. Vocals were spot on, and they played a bunch of stuff I wanted to hear: Moaner, Cowgirl, Born Slippy. I enjoyed it. The only downside was that they played during the same time as the Foo Fighters so I went between the stages a couple times.
Not much else to say I guess, except that I agree that the Toronto lineup is not as good. I'm looking forward to tomorrow.

I regret not going over to see Underworld, cos I wasn't that impressed by the Foos. I enjoyed Wilco and the Offspring more, and Bloc Party. The Silver Beats were really fun. Duffy wasn't bad either :O

So, Stone Temple Pilots was probably my favorite part of today. Scott looked and sounded good. Thank God he got a haircut. Actually, all four of them were good. I liked being able to hear the bass more at this show...it got lost in the mix when I saw them last time. They ended with Trippin On a Hole...my fav.
Rabbit In the Moon, were rad. Their leader was throwing 3D glasses into the crowd. Plus, duderson had all sorts of crazy clothes. I liked their electronic drums too.
I only caught a small part of Moby's DJ Set, but he must have been the one that packed the tent the most. Good for him I guess.
Nine Inch Nails played great, but I wasn't much into the songs they chose. I will agree though, that...as has previously been mentioned on this board, they have the best damn light show and visual set-up, ever. Those light-sensitive LEDs are friggin' sweet.
Lil Wayne was at least half an hour late for his set, and that apparently screwed up the start times at that stage for the rest of the night. He was still performing when we left.
