He talked about the release of G.L.O.W. and how it will be hard to release it on CD here in the US. But said it wasn't set in stone that G.L.O.W. will only be an import

I then asked Davin question of what does it sound like. Billy laughed and said i'll tell you a lie. its going be an hour long song of me whinnying about things to 1 synth.

He talked a lot about the music business and owning the rights to recordings. and how Landslide was recorded on a used tape and as long as that song makes money the BBC makes money

He wanted to record something here in the Davenport / Rock Island area but there was an issue of "ownership". The release was going be for free, but at 41 he won't be able to just give ownership away. The recording place would have ownership.

Ends up Billy thinks Redding was the BEST superchrist.

He asked if i was going stick around and listen thru the cracks in the wall. I told him You know it! he laughed. And i said I got to know if you will play bullet. And he said laughing "ya, for the 450th time"

I think the way they've been answering fan questions over at the o-site is better than any live chat, be it through these boards or over IRC like the old days. There are just too many morons around here that would ruin it for everyone else. Having questions filtered through a moderator seems the best way to get any kind of answers from him these days, unfortunately.

the problem is they block out some of the hard hitters which, in my opinion, are the questions billy corgan needs to face most.

This new incarnation of the O-Site has been a lot better at dealing with criticism than the old one. They seem to be allowing tougher questions to be asked than before. Before, if you weren't praising the band or asking softball questions, no way were you going to get through. You were more likely to get banned in fact. I mean, they even let someone ask Jeff if Billy is really all that hard to work with. Back in the day, it would have been "How great is it working for the wonderful Mr. Corgan?" instead of "Is Billy really a big douche to work with like everyone else says?".

edit: Ideally, it would be great if Billy would post here and answer everybody's unfiltered questions, but it's probably never going to happen.

but they didn't ask him if he's a real memeber of the band or just touring for now or if he'll ever record. these questions hold potentially more damning answers. these are the ones that need to be asked, not if jeff likes billy but what his status with the band is and if he's comfortable with it.

explain to me how nin, a completely independent act outshined kanye west, a record label unit shifter at the biggest music festival of the year. nonetheless TWO independent acts (well radiohead is 50% independent) took over lollapalooza.

now explain to me how radiohead and nin massively sell out arenas still and headline lollapalooza, while sp backed by a major label can't sell out mid-level venues. they all three attract the same audience.
