this has been on my computer for a while but that EP of theirs was pretty generic sounding in the first place

Yeah, I listened to the album once but nothing really grabbed me.

i saw them on letterman. expected to hate it but really enjoyed the song. nothing special but i enjoyed.

i liked the EP but i dont like this. even the songs from the EP sound too slick or whatever now

They are now overproduced and even Pitchfork now abandoned them. Unfortunately their lo-fi production on the EP was their shining star. Glossed over and ridiculous they can't even stand on their own two feet.

Better than the remastered/ remixed Bernard Butler version, IMHO

I don't understand Pitchfork's review of this album whatsoever. It's baffled me.

i was recommended this by the girl at the record store, and i was sorely disappointed

it sounded unique at first but it wears off after a couple tracks when they start retreading the same subjects

Yes, but what does it mean? "Sorry"? Sorry, as in, sorry this album sucks so much? Or, sorry our website hyped this band? Or was the reviewer saying "I know you want me to give this album a positive review, but I'm not going to, sorry"?

I demand an explanation.

I'm not terribly motivated to pick this up. I liked the EP but I'm kinda over all this goofy blog-twee stuff.
