i like it. i can't wait for the new album.

he said itd be funkier and people wouldnt 'get' it. after a couple listens it sounds like he tacked the first 10 seconds of wweird onto a typical of montreal track. i dont see any growth, but im hopeful

Eh, it's just journeying further into the dance niche. I guess I want Of Montreal to be less iconic bass sound/twittering guitar strums and more psych-folk where they started.

i don't like this track that much, compared to the hissing fauna stuff. Then again, most songs after the past is a grotesque animal managed to raise my eyebrows a couple of times.

i agree. but i'm not too concerned about growth at the moment. i mean, he's putting out albums pretty quickly. i mean last 4 albums (2004) Satanic Panic in the Attic (2005) The Sunlandic Twins (2007) Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? (2008) Skeletal Lamping. 4 albums since 2004 is a fast pace. i can take it if he has some real gradual growth.

I love it! The 2:37 mark when the chorus kicks back in is fantastic. Anyone else going to see them in New Orleans on November 11th?

i miss when of montreal was just a simple pop band that would dip occasionally into psychedelics

so after one listen i'm disappointed with the new album. maybe it'll take a couple listens. i know it took me a while to appreciate The Past Is A Grotesque Animal on Hissing Fauna.
