They then have enough depth in their catalogue and class in the way they conduct themselves that you dont have to disown them like SP or whatever. celluloid_love 08-01-2008, 08:56 AM good answer. my problem is if it was any other band and if i hadn't been into them when i was twelve i would probably detest them. i detest the red hot chili peppers, so why not these guys? i guess like you say, they sort of kept their credibility as people. This week I have mainly been listening to New Adventures in Hi-fi. I'm not really liking Accelerate that much however, it feels slightly forced. talk show host 08-02-2008, 03:33 AM I could never get into them. That song/vid reminds me of Sting and the Police. Shapan 08-02-2008, 03:47 AM REM's always been that band i respected, enjoyed a handful of their songs, but accepted that id never really get into them they were incredible live, though. ohnoitsbonnie 08-02-2008, 07:39 AM I heard everything from them in my mom's car. She was a big fan. When I hear it I think of the smell of vomit and the awful rainy day feel and I just can't get into it smashingjj 08-02-2008, 08:46 AM REM's always been that band i respected, enjoyed a handful of their songs, but accepted that id never really get into them they were incredible live, though. exactly the same here Rockin' Cherub 08-07-2008, 11:01 AM one reason i like rem are those hooks with like 5 melodies going on simultaneously, like fall on me or harborcoat and then murmur with its combination of really reverby sounds and really dry sounding shit none of this could really be done live celluloid_love 08-07-2008, 11:16 AM how good is me and honey Rockin' Cherub 08-07-2008, 11:30 AM ever tried singing along to the chorus of harborcoat you can't that's how good it is AndySlash 08-07-2008, 11:30 AM Even Around the SUn is growing on me :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :loaded: :hanging: AndySlash 08-07-2008, 11:31 AM harborcoat wish they would've played this at the show I saw. neopryn 08-07-2008, 01:39 PM how good is me and honey it's one of my favorites. i rarely see it mentioned by anyone else though. nice. celluloid_love 08-07-2008, 01:45 PM me in honey* sorry pale blue eyes 08-07-2008, 01:46 PM I generally enjoy Out of Time way more than I probably should.
