This reminds me of a conversation I had with Ricky Bardy. I had brought up how it seems that there aren't anymore good bands names, therefore we must be running out. I wondered if one day we would just have to revert to using numbers. So he replies with something to the effect of one day just reusing all the previous bands names. His exact examples were:
Led Zeppelin 2
Jethro Tull dos
Jefferson Airplane ii

Aww, c'mon... Living Loving Maid... that's one of the best zep songs ever.

And I fully agree about the Heartbreaker comment - great stuff, but it always feels kinda slow, which I really dig. Adds to the grooviness (for lack of a more intelligible word) of it.

I really get into "moby dick" a lot. At first I thought it was boring but i've listened to it enough times that I anticipate certain drum parts which makes the return of the guitar that much more exciting.
It seems they never knew really what to do with the riff cause it shows up as a song with lyrics on bbc sessions and then on the original box set they replace the drums with "Bonzo's Montreux". But if you compare the original "Bonzo" to the "Moby Dick" remix you'll find the song is better without the guitar at all. It just has it's own unique structure that builds on it self in a more satisfying way. Sure he's a better drummer at this point in his career but there's something about the original "moby dick" just the way it is.

The first Led Zeppelin song I ever remember hearing was "Moby Dick" so II is sort of a sentimental favorite of mine.

Then they ran out of other peoples songs.

I hate the zep werent great because of the plagiarism thing but, it kinda helps make the rate and quality of their releases credible.

Page was a horrendous thief.

This is coming from someone who used to adore Zep.

for some reason I've started downloading the 24/96 vinyl rips of zeppelin albums off of what.cd.

I forgot how much I loved the band back in high school
