View Full Version : Don't you think Thom Yorke enjoys being Thom Yorke at least 10% more than he lets on?

i mean, christ, he is precisely where every band/recording artist dreams of being - i.e. a critically untouchable/ multi million selling godhead. i totally bought that he couldn't let himself believe let alone enjoy the praise OKC received but now i'm starting to get suspicious. what would be really interesting would be if radiohead (yes, I KNOW this will never happen) released something that was less than rapturously received.

well i guess when you're on top the only way you can go is down. i'd much rather be in corgan's position, where he's still got to work hard to prove himself constantly. that would be a far more interesting way to live.

why the hell are fans so concerned for guys like thom, bc, whoever? they're in awesome bands making great music that they love and getting their ass kissed daily. its probably that kind of cloying concern from fans that gets them miserable, if anything.

How can you even suggest that Thom isn't the most humble man on earth. I suppose next you're going to say that radiohead isn't the best band ever?

eh who knows
on one hand they've achieved what every [well, most] bands aspire to
on the other, the expectations of such greatness could be a burden for some ppl
it shouldn't really bother them much imo, cause as long as they do sth decent ppl will say it's great
