I was looking at the programming guide from my satellite provider and it had the Pumpkins' Control Room special listed. It says it about an hour and a half long and there's no mention of Fall Out Boy anywhere. I don't know if it's the whole concert, but I'm sure it's not the US broadcast version. It will be on Mexico's SKY ONE channel at 10:30pm (Mexico D.F. time) today, June 1. Get those DVRs ready Mexico fans.

My DVR recently died on me, so i can't get a high quality version of this. I planning on recording it with a VCR, but it won't be as good. I know that channel rotates their schedule often, so it will eventually pop up again. I'm sure there are some Hispanic people in the U.S. that have this provider, even though it not available for subscription here. (I live in southern California, and subscribe to this provider).

ask your friends if they have the channel or go round to a neighbours and borrow their dvr, you can find a way. good luck

i would guess this is the version that was seeded on dime from the french tv broadcast
would be good if someone could cap a version that didn't suck. I think even VHS would be better than the french one.

I just finished watching it and it was the same version MSN has archived on its site.

I didn't know this was already broadcast on a network. This one was missing Home, 1979, HMM, Ava Adore, and Zero.
I taped it using my VCR, but there was one minor glitch by the network. Obviously VCR is not the highest quality out there, but it's what I had at the moment.
I'm sure this will be broadcast again, since The Bravery's Control Room special has about 3 listings from now until Wednesday. I'll let you guys know, in case someone with access to this channel can get a higher quality version. If not, then I'll see what I can do about transferring my tape.

Yeah, I got the MSN stuff on my hard drive, but I would like to have a DVD-quality version. There's someone in Costa Rica http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/comments_50247 that says it will air again at 8:00pm on June 6.

Yeah I remember it not going over well when someone made fun of the Mexican 1979 video. Whoever made it posts here.

So was this any kind of an upgrade to previous material then? If not, what's the info on the MSN archived vers... and where can someone (like me) grab it from?

it was broadcast quite recently on french tv with a kinda low bit rate. i thought it was pretty ok as shit's always broadcast in pretty low quality here on terrestrial digital. had some annoying infrequent flashing blocks at the top and bottom of the screen though. i say fuck the msn version, unless you just want to see the interview and promo vid that was with it.
hang on a bit and see if someone can capture a higher quality version. if not then check out the dvd that's about now.

Like the previous post said, the French broadcast was only at like a 2mbps quality and it had fullscreen blackbars on top/bottom, even though the concert itself was taped in widescreen. A better quality digital video version would certainly be nice, though save for the aspect ratio deal, it was at least a well-encoded low-bitrate dvd, so it looks pretty good for it's bitrate. There's also a digital skip in BWBW.
This and RockAmRing are the best we've got for long-form Zeitgeist video concerts (I'm still waiting to see if the Pinkpop got DVR'd...if it was even braodcast on tv rather than just the net).

pinkpop did get 'dvr'd' according to cool as ice cream, though from a friend, so expect it in a minimum of a few weeks as i was informed the friend was going on holiday for 2 weeks.

But that recording *is* supposed to be better than the online stream, as that kept on cutting out on people. There was only one glitch on the TV broadcast.
