Even I don't have the song memorized, and I know the lyrics to all MCIS era things. its my least fav song out of that entire era despite being an awesome song

hard to say...i would say autopilot can be characterized by the use of a) some knowingly trite lyrics and b) a somewhat blasé delivery. but i guess it works for the songs, its not really a complaint

Gotta agree with you man. For all of the praise the EP gets, I find most of it to be kinda boring. I cannot stand the song God, and the only part of Marquis in Spades that I like is that "fucker" in the beginning. The only song I really love on it is Pennies.

I agree with the whole autopilot idea. I don't really get any solid emotional content out of the song at all, it just rocks hard. Which I mean, isn't always a bad thing, even Corgan once said there are lots of "dumb" songs that are still good songs. I'm just used to the bulk of the Pumpkins material always having that emotional pull to it I guess.

I can sorta understand the "autopilot" stuff when it comes to "God," but I don't see how Marquis in Spades can be considered to in that category as well. I always thought that MiS and Mouth of Babes were a cut above the other stuff on the Zero EP (and TAFH as a whole, really).
