saw unwound with blonde rehead spring of '96 in an all ages/punk joint
unwound was fucking the best, hardest, wikkidest ever...
sarah lund and was shitfaced and incredible.....
one of the guitarists was walking around with a box of donuts offering them to people and then when they took a bite he'd say "There's acid in there." and then walk offf...

^^^
Trosper played several kinds of odd guitars, including Mosrite copies, generally preferring guitars with P-90 pickups. He sometimes played a clear Lucite (Plexiglas™) guitar, a budget copy of the expensive originals made by Dan Armstrong.
guess not

Future of What and Repetition are great albums. Single History is good too. I saw them live a couple of times. The first time I saw them was after A Challenge for a Civilized Society came out. The second time was after LTIY came out. I filmed some of that concert.

i got their first album on vinyl about half a year ago. too bad it's all out of print now, i'd liked to have new plastic ideas

i agree. most accessible at least. there's three songs on there i really love. below the salt (behold the salt on the ATP sonic youth cd is awweeesome), one lick less and scarlette. new plastic ideas and repetition are great too though. i'm not sure they got a chance to make their best record.

leaves turn inside you is a personal 10.0 for me.

and it would be the best album of 2001 if it were not for the glow pt 2

it's great that the music board can get into all kinds of retarded fights over bands and albums but when the glow pt 2 is mentioned all of a sudden we're all one big family

i just remembered insignificance was also released that year. 3 of my favorite bands' favorite albums came out that year. not to mention endless summer and the strokes debut. and while prefuse and dntel aren't really groups i say i like, life is full of possibilties and uprock narratives are both near 10.0 for me and also came out that year. damn 2001 was stellar
