Some years ago I would rent international films at random at blockbuster. Some would would be really great, others kind of lackluster and then some (primarily Japanese) would be really fucking weird.

Recommend some good international movies that you've seen.

did anyone see an asian film (this is going to be vague) where a guy gets cut from cheek to cheek which made him appear to be grinning wildly during a fight scene?

Ew. No, watch Life Of Others or The Counterfeits instead.
Also, anything by Michael Hanke.

i saw two really awesome japanese movies a while back. one was about two female roommates battling for the same acting job...the whole movie is in their apartment and it ends with an awesome fight scene.

the other i don't remember so well. but one memorable scene involved some girl sticking pins into someone and whispering "here kitty kitty" or something like that.

dammit i wish i could remember the names of those fucking movies.

I draw near to him, turn around, I exhibit my buttocks.

"Ah, wondrous ass!" he cries. "'Tis well, I am easy thus to be able to take with me to the grave the idea of a behind as pretty as that one!"

And he fondled it, opened it, nuzzled and kissed it just the way the healthiest man in the world might have done.

Sounds oddly like a rip-off of The Joker, if you know what I mean.
