i was totally stoked for the past month to buy it. i even dusted off the wii i hadn't played since decemeber of 2006 in preparation for the glorious moment. Then yesterday i went batshit and bought an acoustic guitar and now i cant buy the fucking game and i think i died a little more inside while i wrote this.


is it balls to the walls awesome? i heard some of the early wiis are getting a dirty disc error when they try to play it and that nintendo is calling them back under the guise that the laser might have become dirty but in reality, something is faulty in the console and they're trying to avoid a red-rings fiasco. How old is your wii?

i got mine in january of last year. i've had no problems with it.

the game is really awesome. im like a huge sonic fan and i think they did him perfectly, and his level is great.

the game is just very well polished, the made everyone a little more floaty and that eliminated wave dashing. the levels are all really well done, the new characters especially are awesome and more polished, it's just a lot of fun.

i've only ever played against other people. whatever that's called. i don't think i have ever won. i am truly impressed by people who seem to have it mastered. it just doesn't make sense to me. it confuses the hell out of me. this and goldeneye for n64 are the two games that i cannot for the life of me get any good at. and they seem to be every college students' favorite games. sucks for me!

if you like fast paced fighters, sure. its good for nostalgia so far, but other than that I cant make any judgment yet if I like it or not. havn't really learned how to play yet.

We were playing subspace emissary for about 6 hours last night. By the end of the night we unlocked something for playing over 10 hours.

At first we rejoiced, then we realized how sad we were.

you use the joystick to move your character, the A button is your normal attack, and the B button is the special.

i love sonic, they made his move set so perfectly. zelda will probably stay my primary, though.

ill always be a gamecube controller guy but the wii controller with the nunchuck was pretty comfortable. the wiimote by itself was awkward because of the positioning of the shield button and inability to run without double tapping.

I really want to get this game, I was such a badass in the n64 days. I wonder if there's a way to use an n64 controller, if I could I'd be unstoppable.

Another idiot. Items are part of the game. It helps makes the game go faster. That way, you can get more matches in. I'm not looking to be the most hardcore smash bro gamer in my home with friends. Its just for fun.

Online is different. If I ever get in a tournament (which I plan to make a netphorian one in a month), it will be no items.

I hear select Wii's can't read dual-layer discs, but Nintendo is using damage control and claiming that the lens need cleaned. lol. As a result Smash Bros. will not play for all.

So not only is Wii $250 for what is essentially a GameCube with more memory and a faster CPU/GPU, but a lot of them can't even read DVD-9's. Awesome. Wii is like, straight out of 2002.
