I wonder why those ants developed instincts to use their own bodies as an ant raft, rather than building something out of leaves and such. I thought ants were smarter than that.

I was swarmed by fire ants a few years back - had 46 bites on my left food and had to have it operated on to reduce swelling so the bone wouldn't snap in half.

we used to have a cockatiel that would mimic the microwave button noises, and the kitchen door opening. it would throw me off a little when i was a kid.
