For the past few days I have been indulging myself with NES games that I haven't played in like 10 years and I was thinking: if you think about it in terms of # of games, and affordability -- NES kicks the crap out of any game system that ever came after it. I mean, the NES lasted a long time, and had so many games. EVERYBODY had one. I beat Bionic Commando last night and now I'm onto Kid Icarus.

I don't know where I wanted this post to go. Maybe we just talk abotu nintendo.

I don't know anyone who ever finished Battletoads or Ninja Turtles.

The first one? I never even got past the damn dam.

Oh I totally beat the dam. But the one time that I was able to jump over the fucking gap in the sewer on the next level the Mecha Turtle blew me away in about five seconds.

you are pretty much my god then... there was that last part of the dam that always got my ass. Grated, i was prolly something like 7-9 years old so my motor skills weren't developed yet... oh well turtles II was way eisier to beat.

I had a friend who claimed to have gotten to the Technodrome, and as unbelievable as that sounds, he did used to play video games for many hours each day, and I believe him.

This is unheard of. Never in my life have I though such a person existed. Even with the advantages of ROMS, I still don't think i could make it that far. I think I will try tomorrow.

I think i got them in a bug fat bundle off morpheus when I used to pirate a lot.

I use windows XP and it does a good job.

we have five games that get played, three sporadically:

1. bionic commando
2. kid icarus
3. punch out


and now the games that stay in there and rotate once a year:

1. tecmo super bowl
2. baseball stars


those are five of the best games ever (yes i know megaman 2...we have it on playstation emulator thingie)

I didn't :( But I have one now :)

i never beat bionic commando - did beat kid icarus though, and of course punch out zelda zelda 2 all marios mega mans, metroid, tmnt2 but not the first- did get past the bombs but it wasnt my game so i never beat it. haha techmo bowl yea beat that but it was way too easy- there's others... i am a nintendo masta!
