There was already a thread for this, BUT...
Gibson Les Paul Classic (Wine Red) > Boss Blues Driver > Marshall Guv'nor > ProCo Deucetone Rat > Boss Giga Delay DD-20 > ToneWorks AX1000G > Whatever amp is on stage that night because I hate bringing my own.
^ I want a loop station/giga delay. Having fun with that? How's the rat too? How does it sound compared to the big muff>?
Right now the reverse delay is my favorite function for soft interludes and such. The pedal's still new to me, so I'm really trying not to overuse that sound and I'll probably experiment with the other settings in the near future. Having never owned a Big Muff, I can't compare it from personal experience to the Rat, but from what I've heard a million times over in recordings, the tone and fuzz of the Rat is a fine substitution for me. Especially with the different single pedal emulations you can switch back and forth to, or have going at the same time (clean rat, dirty rat, turbo rat, vintage rat), I think the sound possibilities are that much broadened. As the picture shows, it's like two pedals in one. Admittedly, I did have huge problems getting anything decent sounding at first, but that just took some working with my amp to find that sweet spot for my favorite setting (using turbo rat on channel b). But from what I hear, that how fuzz pedals in particular usually are, especially the Big Muff and like clones.

Hey, how do you find that Blue Driver pedal? I maintain it's the least subtle guitar pedal I've ever experienced, have you had much luck using it for something other then full out fuzzed distortion?

I use a crappy marshall stack, complete with my trust vinyl finish purple/black fender (maple neck of course!)
I always use the following pedals;
Boss mega distortion
Boss Phase shift
Boss delay
Marshall chorus
Morley wah pedal (dropped down the stairs a few times so it makes some interesting sounds)
I cut out the middle, and turn up the bass and treble evenly give a kind of 'gish tone'

scooping your mids gives you more of a "bad" tone than a "gish" tone.
I play a Fender deluxe strat (sapphy blue trans finish with a tortoise guard and gold hardware) through a Boss ME-50 multi effects into a burgundy epiphone triggerman stack.
I also have a black red burst ibanez jet king, a modded teal/ black PG reissue 60's strat that i like to play through a EH little big muff, and a fender HH jaguar that i like to play through anything.
here are some pictures, don't have one of my 60's strat since it's custom, and i couldn't find a similarly customized one online.

If your first instinct was to turn the gain all the way up to see what it could do, I think you've missed the point of that pedal. This pedal works perfectly for, well, blues riffs...and songs that don't require massive amounts of distortion. Try having the gain knob at 11 o'clock, the tone somewhere between 12 and 4 o'clock, and your neck pickup selected. It sounds the best then, I think (at least for my guitar).
Sweet, I've always wanted to get my hands on a Superfuzz to try. I guess I could always get one made for me, but I'm too cheap to do something like that, at least without trying one first. I need to make friends with an electrician or some shit.

Does anyone else play their guitar through a bass amp? I find I can get a pretty decent Kyussey sound after a bit of tweaking here and there. It's pretty crap for everything else though, compared to a decent guitar amp.

How do you like that Duo Jet? I tried the Power Jet when I was shopping for my Les Paul Classic.
I like it alot, I had a nice deep warm feel to it. The only drawback I think is that the pickups are not as 'hot' as Gibson pickups, but that is only a drawback if you want to play something screaming. It is def. not as heavy as a Les Paul, and while the action was a little high, after I lowered it I realized that I didn't like it as much as when it was higher - go figure. I think that the guitar is perfect for clean songs, it has a real full tone to it. I noticed that Iha played a silver one during the early parts of 2000 for GATGC. Anyway, I would def. recommend it if you like the tone of SGs.

everyone uses a Big Muff these days, not that they're bad pedals but i dont feel like i need one myself
They are really hard to use, I don't know why they are so popular. Just word of mouth and legend I guess. Virtually un-usable in live scenarios.
