But I'm not the collector a lot of you are, and i haven't done nearly as much traveling to shows as many of you, so i think i haven't spent even close to what some of you have. Anyone want to take a guess at how much money you've given to bill (and the people he has to split it with) over the years?

Seriously, after buying most offical releases (more than once in many cases), concert tickets, bootlegs, EPs, and merchandising items such as posters and tshirts during my early years, I'd say I've spent around one grand, or so. That's actually very little when I think about how much entertainment or pleasure I've gotten from the band over the years.

jeez, i dont wanna think about this, including tickets etc, at least 3000 pounds over the years, so roughly 6000 dollars, i'll just say that is over a long period of time so as not to sound as bad, but in truth i only started collecting in about 2001.

5 cds, 1 concert ticket, countless hours better spent somewhere else than here

by a really really rough estimate probably 600-700 dollars. thats a lot less then what i was expecting but that low amount comes from only having seeing them twice. and i never travelled far to see them or paid money out the ass for something like the last SP1 shows like a lot of folks here have. i have about 30+ CDs, a couple vinyls of SP and I've only bought a few SP shirts in my life time.

I'm gonna estimate about $2500. When i was younger I used to buy every magazine that had a picture/review about them. I bought a SP clock around age 16, come to find out later it read "Smahing Pumpkins." I took a trip out to Atlanta when they cancelled, and went back when they rescheduled. And I was silly enough to shell out money for all 45982 zeitgeist albums.

I would guess about 2000 dollars, if you count travel expences. Just the ticket to that first show in Paris was about 350 dollars. And due to my very annoying habit of never putting my CDs back in their covers, I must have bought siamese dream and mcis about five times each. Plus two other concert tickets, t-shirts, one poster... there is bound to be more stuff. Worth every penny though, when I think about all the good times. And the fact that I've been a fan for twelve years... That means my SP-obsession has only cost me 13 dollars a month.

If only other drugs were that cheap.

yes indeed, I got mine on display in my room :). That picture with the tree always gives me chills! I like the Machina one better though, that one is really nice imo

Btw, the disarm 7" I bought is the purple vinyl edition, is it like rarer than the black vinyl (like the one included in the SD 7" box?)
