so by now you should have gotten the message
and you say, "gee, what message is that?"
and the message and the secret is
there are no rules
the rules are in your brain
where you come from
who you are
what you do
what you think
it's all a state of mind
sometimes it takes going backwards to go forward
it takes saying ' i don't know shit,' to know something
sometimes you have to count to zero

because there are no yesterdays
and for all we know there will be no tomorrows
for all you know
you're already dead
and this is just some bad dream...
i like that

so we send you this message
delivered with a bullet
and an arrow
and a distortion box
and a screechy vocal
we are disease, dysfunction, destruction, dynamic
thunderpuss

i'd like to take a moment
to thank everyone who stuck around for the whole show
it shows us a lot
because it shows us that you're here
not just 'cause of some song you saw on mtv
just remember that what you see
doesn't mean there's not more to see
and what you hear
doesn't mean there's not more to hear

it's a big world
and i can tell you
there are a lot more lands than Moline
and uh, Davenport, and Chicago
and America

so we hope we've taken you across the frontiers
of your own scary mind
on this hallow's eve

we send you a message of love, of trust, and compassion,
and absolute respect
just remember that there is no time like now
time is never time at all
and don't wait for tomorrow
to get on with your dreams and your thoughts and your feelings
because before you know it, you're old like us

so thank you, god bless you
we are the smashing pumpkins

that was actaully sweet. why doesn't he rant like that anymore?

Could be a number of things:

1) No passion
2) No drugs
3) He's done it all before
4) He likes to actually, but it comes out all... "hey Johnny, let's ride in that spaceship, and the crow says 'I thought we had bad luck' CAW, CAW, CAW!"

Complete nonsense.

It was mid-Silverfuck, IIRC, and Silverfuck went on for about 40 mintues, if you ******* the jam at the end of the show during which D'arcy leaves the stage and Billy takes up the bass for awhile...it's bluesy, trippy, yummy stuff.

no, that's just the speech. i'm working on the audio of bc on bass right now. it won't be of spectacular quality, but it will be.

d'arcy walks off stage
bc picks up her bass

james: "please forgive us for that last bit, we were just whackin off. i dunno. this is not a fortuitous moment when billy picks up the bass"

not really. tfe speeches were more like this:

so by now you should have gotten the message
and you say, "gee, what message is that?"
and the message and the secret is
there is god
the god is in your brain
where you come from
who you are
what you do
what you think
it's all god
sometimes it takes god to go forward
it takes saying ' im a cowboy and i believe in god, yee haw,' to know something
sometimes you have to count to god

because there are no yesterdays
and for all we know there will be no tomorrows
for all you know
you're already dead
and this is just some bad dream...
i like god

if you want your money back i completely understand
i make shitty music but thats what im supposed to do right now
im going to crush you into dust with songs like doomsday clock in a year.

so thank you, god bless you
we are the smashing pumpkins (cuz james and darcy never actually played on my records itz all me lolz!!!!1

I only have this on VHS (maybe DVD if I converted it; don't recall) and don't have the equipment/knowledge to transfer it to the computer; is it possible you could upload the audio of the entire show somewhere? I would be eternally grateful.

Theres a VHS-2>DVD transfer of this, as well as a VHS-4>CDR audio transfer, both of which should be available on the hub or zomb

Thanks for the heads up. I've looked a few times and haven't found it yet, but obviously I've not been looking enough.
