-billy's richest and most elegant vocal performances to date
-walking shade was the best choice for a single
-dia = one of billy's most powerful songs to date.
-coolest/cleverest aspect of the album are the drums; their brute minimalism compliments and underpins the punktorian aesthetic perfectly. (look out for matt walker laying it down in the walking shade video if you don't get my meaning).

how can something complement AND underpin

fewer words, more sense please

yes, complEments. they complEment in terms of aesthetic conception/production, and underpin through their stylistic consistency throughout the album. make enough sense now?

Well...I kind of agree.
Though "Mina Loy" should've been the single.
