When was this?
andrew had never met them before and he got a vip pass for a show at toronto vfest i think. they basically just said hi to him but refused to do any photos or autographs.
ed. at which point they promptly disappeared to get ready for the show
redbull 01-18-2008, 06:36 PM well he is like the trotsky to their stalin. I can't really blame them.

paranoid 01-18-2008, 07:08 PM you forgot the one that drove the fans the craziest, and that is billy's inability to pronounce his consonants.
and the vocal vibrato overuse.
fucking annoying.
i love it when he goes on a bitch fest on stage though.. great entertainment.

dustrock 01-18-2008, 11:56 PM who the fuck complained about that? that was a sick title.
I'm pretty sure I remember people complaining about Billy's arrogance and how out of touch he was with current society. Also, fears that he might be making a "Political Album".
I'm just listing what I've read over the last year.
redbull 01-19-2008, 12:23 AM yeah the zeitgeist title was bitched about

Frankenstein 01-19-2008, 12:43 AM either way they rock 90 per cent of the time. therefor. you're lame
MistaMista1 01-19-2008, 12:45 AM I think no one can complain about Zeitgeist title/cover after the clusterfuck debacle that was

what? you dont like Billiam Patrick Corgan?
jjbjjbjjb 01-19-2008, 12:51 AM Cancelling a show in Boise
Playing too many shows in Philadelphia
Planning two many-night stands in single cities on each coast
Referring to these many-night stands as "residencies"
Locating the East Coast residency in Asheville
Supposedly not fulfilling all aspects of their announced plan for the residencies
MistaMista1 01-19-2008, 01:12 AM I love machina. I have it on vinyl and cd
I like the music. The title should've been just Machina though and the cover was a horrendous choice for a band that
a. was trying to rejuvenate their career
b. had a pretty good history with picking good cover images
AndySlash 01-19-2008, 01:12 AM Playing too many shows in Philadelphia
Considering the band's live repertoire at the time, not enough variety in sets at these shows.
Caine Walker 01-19-2008, 01:29 AM oooooohhhh, you guys.
redbull 01-19-2008, 01:54 AM can we add fanboys/fangirls/hipstersunited annoyingly pro-corgan stance to list?
TumoraXsault 01-19-2008, 02:50 AM I remember having front row to the Boston show and screaming out during a down time in the concert, "release the metro!" In which corgan gave me a dirty look...it was priceless
TumoraXsault 01-19-2008, 02:51 AM http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/699/hjfkze2.jpg
Btw, i love how you spelt Machines wrong, even though its right on the album cover
MistaMista1 01-19-2008, 02:53 AM Because I so didn't notice that.
TumoraXsault 01-19-2008, 02:57 AM if you noticed, why didn't you fix it?
MistaMista1 01-19-2008, 03:02 AM Its like teh b0lly. Intentional internet-speak misspellings for the purpose of humor.
THANKZ 4 RUINING MY JOKE.
TumoraXsault 01-19-2008, 03:08 AM no prob
ciGarski 01-19-2008, 03:38 AM i can't think of any decision that was made without criticism. such is the position which corgan stands. everytime you hear him talk in person its just like "i can't make everyone happy, there'll always be songs i should and shouldn't play and things i should and shouldn't do/have done."
some "mistakes" seem obvious to us, but be that as it may, i couldn't blame corgan for thinking "ugh just fuck it im doing this and i can't win. the best i can do is believe in it."
wilch 01-19-2008, 03:46 AM how aboot not letting the girls sing backing vocals on studio recordings?
didnt bitch about much else personally.
ciGarski 01-19-2008, 03:47 AM what girls?
darthjul 01-19-2008, 03:47 AM WHO THE FUCK HAD A GO AT JEFF'S CAPE?!? I'LL KILL THEM!
Seriously though, Jeff's cape deserves it's own thread.
mrlvx 01-19-2008, 03:50 AM where the girls?

jimmy corgan 2008™ ©lol
ciGarski 01-19-2008, 03:53 AM sooo you mean ginger, whom came after the zetigeist STUDIO recordings? exept for AG which came in 2008?

mrlvx 01-19-2008, 04:06 AM ajá. no more "million billy corgan choirs"

ciGarski 01-19-2008, 04:08 AM the million billy choir was mentioned in the first post of the thread you fuckin guy.

absolutely.
ciGarski 01-19-2008, 11:40 AM lack of cocaine at the RTB sessions.
Mariner 01-20-2008, 02:51 AM I like the music. The title should've been just Machina though and the cover was a horrendous choice for a band that
a. was trying to rejuvenate their career
except they weren't trying to rejuvenate their career at that point.
as for the specific image chosen for the cover yeah it wasn't the best, but like it or not at least the machina artwork was well crafted and didn't look like an average 16 year old with a few years of photoshop under their belt cooked it up
flyfire 01-20-2008, 06:16 AM what? you dont like Billiam Patrick Corgan?
Corgan will never be a Billiam
wearing scarves in july/august
ginger's [lack of] on stage presence
The New 01-20-2008, 06:44 AM hand gestures
The first 30 seconds of new SP music in 7 years sounded like Green Day.
couldn't agree more.
