View Full Version : That's the Way vinyl single used as example in Time magazine
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1702369,00.html
here's the article, but they don't use the picture that's in the magazine. It just shows the purple "That's the Way (My Love Is)" vinyl single next to Serj Tankian, Bob Marley, Paramore, Flaming Lips, and some other record I don't know.
JRiordan 01-17-2008, 12:55 AM Awesome. Sound quality FTW.
Zeitgeist vinyl??? Pretty sure this is the biggest delay between CD and vinyl release for an SP album.
Warsaw 01-17-2008, 12:58 AM Nice article.
smashapumpkin 01-17-2008, 01:08 AM i dont see a pic in the article
flyfire 01-17-2008, 02:26 AM got an email last week from elusive disc & there's still no word on the zeitgesit vinyl release
wpc33 01-17-2008, 04:10 AM Warner owns both TIME & TTW
^ Hehehe.
Still, the Pumpkins vinyls were always of greatest quality.
SlingeroGuitaro 01-17-2008, 05:14 AM im not expecting the zeitgeist vinyl to ever get released. something tells me it was an idea, but they never had it mastered for vinyl
It probably would cost too much.
SlingeroGuitaro 01-17-2008, 05:48 AM of course maybe the reason they didnt use howie weinberg to master was so they could use someone to master to vinyl. i dont think howie does much if any vinyl masters anymore
i dont see a pic in the article
here's the article, but they don't use the picture that's in the magazine.
read much?
slunken 01-17-2008, 04:37 PM "From college dorm rooms to high school sleepovers, an all-but-extinct music medium has been showing up lately. And we don't mean CDs. Vinyl records, especially the full-length LPs that helped define the golden era of rock in the 1960s and '70s, are suddenly cool again *"

this is true - and i was actually going to post that myself - but isn't the first rule of journalism in the 101 class awful punning?
flyfire 01-17-2008, 08:48 PM im not expecting the zeitgeist vinyl to ever get released. something tells me it was an idea, but they never had it mastered for vinyl
seems that why, but why take pre-orders?
SlingeroGuitaro 01-17-2008, 08:49 PM snafu
ciGarski 01-17-2008, 08:52 PM not only did they take preorders but they had information about it, as if it was already concieved, i.e. 180 gram
it doesn't appear it will happen and thats extremely disappointing. even zwan had a vinyl.
ciGarski 01-17-2008, 08:54 PM i've been meaning to invest in a new turntable.
flyfire 01-17-2008, 09:01 PM snafu

ciGarski 01-17-2008, 09:05 PM ^ thats what im saying.
flyfire 01-17-2008, 09:21 PM sorry edited before I read your posty :)
