no, i recorded the music sent it by email to i_adore_adore, she sent me back a vocal track, I mixed it then showed it to netphoria, slingero wanted a crack at remixing it, so I sent him all the instrument and vocal files and he remixed the final version up there. although both slingero and I are from ATX, we have never met, and I_adore_adore isn't even from texas.

Finally got around to listening to this.

The guitar work is good. Jessica (?) has a pretty good voice, although I'm often not a huge fan of certain types of female singing voices (read: chick from evanescene) but she did the job. Liked how she started out in a traditional melodic style but then channeled the b0lly whine in the last section. The echo worked well to combat the low production value sound you were probably getting without it.

All in all, pretty good, but I had one major complaint:

That fucking snare drum.

That's really not how I usually sing. The song was too low to sing in the same octave as Billy, and an octave higher wasn't very comfortable either. Heh. But hey, stuff happens. Not making excuses ;)

I can't believe I just got compared to that chick from Evanescence. I'm going to quit music forever. :p

sorry, they sounded fake. i dont think they were. its better than i could do but, it could have used less computer editing i guess. i dont know. probably the best cover in the contest so far. i just think the zeitgeist cover is funny

it is what it is, i did the best that i could with the equipment i had handy, and like slingero said, its DI jmp-1 to my laptop, i have no issues with it.

i enjoyed the process and really had a great time working with i_adore_adore and slingero and really appreciate their input. it definitely showed me that doing something like this is very time consuming.

if i had time i would work on my next cover (cupid de rawk), but so far that has been a very very very slow process.
