Anybody else beside me and june_soma going to this? I have great doubts about the show getting sold out, though. Hope it will.

If I get back from Asia before then I might go! Where do I book tickets?

Six more days now, praying that we won't get the same setlist as the rest. Perhaps a great crowd could help with us getting more songs?

I recorded that song! Actually the whole show back in 2000-10-22. Of course I have lost the master MDs, but I'll ask a friend for a copy and I'll upload it to the LMA.

set: same as before minus wound.
encores: scorpions cover that they fucked up and cherub rock as a concilation for fucking up the other one.

all in all a good show, ok crowd, show got butchered in a couple of newspaper reviews though. billy in a good mood throughout. made some jokes 99% never understood or felt was too dumb to laugh at. he even played an Oslo Blues before 1979. went on for over 3 minutes. Nice evening, hoping they will be back with even better songs.

Great show. And Billy was in such a good mood! And gave kudos to "beautiful Norwegian women" and talked about moving out here. Just dumb jokes of course, but even so, he can move in with me any day. :)

I liked that the set is kinda low key. Not rock n roll mayhem, but different aspects of the Pumpkins. And I got to hear "Drown". Hurra! A song Billy said he wrote "when he was innocent". Again, I was amazed by his good mood. Maybe he's been reading all the flack some of you netphorians have given him becuase of his bad mood and no stage banter at some of the other shows. He took his sweet time saying goodbye to the Norwegian crowd at least. And was very chatty on stage.

Cherub Rock!

Tell more about the Scorpions cover (Robot Man yes?) being messed up.

I guess the cover was Robot Man, I can confirm it if I hear the version played in Germany. Jeff played guitar while singing through a pipe making a Bon Jovi-ish sound, great solos. Corgan stopped the song after attempting a scream which failed miserably (the song was almost over anyways, they had been playing it for over 5 minutes). The song itself worked out very well up until that point. He apologized that they messed it up and told us that we'd get another song instead should we want it. "Do you want a ski-jumping song? Or do you want a crosscountry-skiing song?" We got a great version of Cherub Rock and he thanked the audience for minutes after the rest of the band had left the stage. Blew kisses to the left and right, he seemed very happy indeed!

Actually I got the dress and it was too big. So I just wore a little black dress instead. Nothing special.

oh shit, Jeff rocking the talk box? as if Jeff wasn't awesome enough already.

hoboj0e

Yes, he totallly ruled that song. At one point Billy took a step back and let Jeff take the limelight for a minute with blistering talk box solos. A truly great moment.

.

ha, was he fielding offers from the audience? Some of his jokes make me cringe but usually he’s not so bad.

Nice review, thanks for sharing. Do you know if anyone recorded the show?
