Haha who the hell would buy any of that? I like how Zeitgeist is bigger than any of the other albums in the discography thing, and it's right in the middle.

I'm thinking about the autographed discography, but I wish I knew if it was numbered or not and how many they have. If they only have a hundred or so and it is numbered, I would buy it right now. My luck, I will wait and then find out later there were only a hundred of them and then I'm too late and then will look on EBAY and see them going for $5,000.

If anyone cares, I called FEA Merchandise, the company that runs the SP webstore and talked to a nice lady about this stuff. Here's what I found out:

All items are approximately 24"x30"

She believed they would all have metal frames

The band was scheduled to autograph the discographies and microphone displays last Friday at the Steiner offices

The signed discography is the top seller, followed by the microphone, unsigned discog, and then the drum stuff, and the items are selling much better than they had anticipated.


So there you go. If you were on the fence, that might help you out. It made me feel better about the items, because Steiner is a very reputable company.

Not everyone collects memorabilia because of how much money it might be worth one day.

they have had that headware section for months.. but no headware. I could go for a sweet SP hat.

the albums one has greatest hits but no earphoria... they shoulda left both out or included both.

i guess i just don't get the idea of paying for an autograph. I got bill's autograph the first time i met him, didn' t have to fork over any cash, and it has a hell of a lot more sentimental value than something i might have purchased from the internet. I realize that some people haven't had a chance to meet the band and therefore might have to find another way to get the autograph; but to me an autograph doesn't mean much when it doesn't have some amount of sentimental value.

Maybe this is why billy suddenly stopped signing autographs in 2007... he knew he wouldn't make as much money if he was giving them out for free.

All that said though, I know there are collectors who like to have this sort of stuff, so i guess this sort of thing is aimed at them and not haters like me. ;)

The good news is that this thing is bad-ass. The bad news is that the drum head became detached during shipping and now it has to be sent back for repairs. And I'm not the only person who is sending theirs back for repairs.

WOW. That is indefinitely cooler than I had anticipated. When someone said that Steiner was putting them together, I had some hope, but I still did not expect it to be that nice. If they had announced the runs in advance, I would have certainly bought one.

i think it's cooler than i assumed it would be, but there's still no way I'd spend 300 bucks on any of it. I'm happy with my (free) pick that i got from billy, and James' pick from 97. They were used during shows like these drumsticks and heads were, and i didn't have to fork over any cash for them. SP has enough $$ by now.
