I'm not the only one who thinks this movie is highly underestimated... it's a visual masterpiece, stunning drug-cinema, shocking at the beginning, heartbreaking and beautiful in the end. and if you say it's a requiem for a dream spin-off, you're totally missing the point of the movie imo Highly recommended,s erious. as for the top 5: something like Gossamer Wasting Time Now and Then That's the way Mina Loy honorable mention: Danger boy rides a black swan, all the other spun songs and why not starz (for the song in se, the endresult/production fucked up vocals etc isn't good i agree, live however it's classic pumpkins power) i_adore_adore 01-04-2008, 04:25 PM whoa whats he talking about there Billy never sings about sex In one of the residency songs... "Promise Me" he says "She riddled me with sex like magic sound" or SOMETHING like that. So there. And there are countless other lyrics I could reference if I felt like it. American Gothic was growing on me a little bit but I played it tonight and I was already sick of it. Except for Sunkissed. This song will stand the test of time for me, because its probably one of the very few Zeitgeist era tracks that actually attempts something different, notable the brush work, the hazy organ. its a very summery song. since when does a Billy song evoke atmosphere anymore? Good song. Chuck=Zero 01-04-2008, 10:21 PM I'm ashamed to admit that I have never heard the often raved about Djali Zwan songs. :noway: Actually, I have heard Think You Know, but that's it. Almost forgot. reprise85 01-05-2008, 09:02 PM i didn't say you like it or don't like it. i just think most people overlook it for stupid reasons. that's all. notice it wasn't in my top 5. i_adore_adore 01-05-2008, 09:05 PM you just don't like it cause of the gay vocals and whole 'we are starz' part. it's not a bad song if you can get past that. some of the parts are really good actually ? reprise85 01-05-2008, 09:06 PM um, he/she said it was an awful song already? I should have said 'most people' I guess, but from the Kidz Bop comment it seemed to be a rag on the vocals. commando 01-05-2008, 09:29 PM Nevermind it's some of the best, aggressive drumming I've ever heard from SP. I take this song and U.S. as Jimmy's response to all the cries for "drum solo" during zwan. God, you're an idiot. Well you take out the drumming, and that song is nothing. Without the drumming it becomes one of the worst pumpkins songs. bja1288 01-06-2008, 01:53 AM I'm listening to "The Empty Sea" right now. I forgot how freaking amazing this song is... ugh... Billy laughs mid-song. It's wonderful. I love Zwan :) i appreciate this laugh too. itd never happen at a sp2 concert. sh sh shayne 01-06-2008, 04:03 AM 1. a new poetry 2. mary star 3. ring the bells 4. revolve 5. think you no 5 worst 1. Can anyone explain to me why everyone sees to like Death From Above so much? I have listened to that song countless times trying to find the appeal and have yet to understand it. Worst of the Zeitgeist tracks in my opinion. One of the worst Corgan-tracks ever, actually. There is no denying how great that song is live. I do not hate the album version as much as everyone else, but it certainly is not one of my favorites. terrence 01-06-2008, 11:25 PM Gossamer Lost In The Woods Tilt Of A Broken Heart Yeah Pizza Club 01-07-2008, 08:47 AM A New Poetry Love Lies In Ruin Mary, Star of the Sea United States Neverlost I think I could make 2 separate respectable lists just using non-album Zwan songs and Chicago songs.
