Back in February - in a Spanish-language SP board - a poster that claimed to be Jesse, Ginger's brother (anyone here care to verify that relationship?), sorta leaked the news that she was the new bass player a full 3 months before the band made it official. See the thread at:

I read that thread back in February. There was no way to tell the guy was legit. He did seem to be bragging though, so even when things got cleared up people weren't very impressed or anything. The guy doesn't speak very good Spanish BTW.

Hello all, Ok the last week my dad had surgery on his abdomen to fix a hernia from a tapeworm. I saw to my sister and we were together almost all the day and we spoke much of the group. She said it’s exciting to be in the group she said to me that she goes away to move to Chicago the 1 of April. Then they are going to practice for tour that is going to happen in Europe. She said that after there is going to be a Tour in the U.S.A. in the fall. She does not know if they are going to go to Latin America. I asked if I could put her link up and she said no. She prefers to let Billy announce the new group when he wants. My sister has been in groups of Punk, a punk group who were all girls. A DES their songs were in a Soundtrack of one pelicula and also this in the DVD of that pelicula. Besides the group she also went "single" and the music was in programs like "Real World" of MTV and other programs of MTV. It said to another one noticaias to me that he is a little chistosos. She said to me that also there is another new guitarista and it is Koreano/Americano. Its name begins with J. Then they are going to have another Chinese in the group. (___________???). Not much of the Smashing Pumpkins but before they had a girl bass guitarist and a Chinese guitarista. Hope that all this good with you.

Ginger is a great bass player with tons of experience and deserves her position. I definitely was not going to say damn thing on this board as I would have been flamed to high hell. Shit I'll prob be flamed anyway.

By the way I'm not a fan of SP although they are growing on me. I hated them in the 90's I'm all about Hip-Hop, Rap, and Reggaeton.

ok homegirl, you got a sick avatar. not too effeminate. anyway as i remember it, cain walker (i believe) was at the music garage in chicago with his band and heard the pumpkins were practicing there, renting out an entire floor for themselves. another guy said he had some spaced booked there too and would let us know if he heard or found anything. at this point we were just looking for confirmation of the new bandmates.

either caine or other dude took a pic with their cell phone of a dressing room door and it revealed ginger and jeff's names.

then other dude got greedy and stole some photos and came back here and described them to us. he said he had about 4 or 5 and after being badgered to no end by the board he finally posted them. i remember after he did so, i posted "is this legal?" and someone, i think fritters said "probably not". i laughed.

30 mins later frank quinto made a post in regards that this was completely illegal and that the picture thief was going to be charged. the band didn't take it lightly and was pretty bothered by a fan stealing unreleased album artwork.

and as it turned out, guy stole 39 photo's in actuality, guitar pics and who knows what else. got house arrest and probation and we all enjoyed the shit out of it.

pakula was contacted by the band's management and they gave him some zeitgeist promo shit as a "we're cool with you, no hard feelings" kind of thing, and he gave them away in a contest.

that dude got house arrest and probation and we got stickers. it was pretty awesome. he's bitter as hell too. when he came back to the board we all asked him what version of zeitgeist he bought lol and the dude said something to the effect of "the one on oink, or mediafire". :dammit: have you learned nothing kid?! :noway:

That's funny man. I used to get offended about things said about my cousin (l.Strawberry) but as time wore on and she has gotten more ridiculous, I felt less prone to stick up for her and then people started to not care and lay off a bit.
