Fuck yeah I'm so indie that I don't listen to the Smashing Pumpkins after 1988 because that's before they sold out.

The reason she doesn't like Bullet is because Billy says "I still believe that I cannot be saved," and she's all about people being saved and stuff...

Soooo yeah... still ridiculous.

It makes me sad that people still believe in god.

It makes me sad when pricks like you try to sound smart and controversial when it inevitably backfires on them.

This thread prompted me to pop MCIS in my car stereo and blast BWBW... I haven't listened to this song in ages and man, it in itself is a very good song. As I was listening to it, I remembered the first time I heard it on the radio, sitting in my car in my driveway, with the car off waiting for the song to end before I went inside.

It blew my mind as it did all of yours I'm sure (even it you won't admit it). It is a song that I've heard a million times and getting sick of it is easy, but that doesn't take away from the fact Billy wrote a CLASSIC hard rock song.

Bullet was the song that made me go, "Oh... this IS pretty cool" after listening to "Landslide," "1979" (live acoustic), and "A Night Like This" directly before it.

I was hooked after that.

was just listening to 1997-10-19 and realized it has maybe my favorite version of Bullet (full-band acoustic, loud verses/soft choruses). that's borderline Adore era.

i think if they did an electric version like that, it would definitely take the cake.
