Just wondering what you guys thought about this Drown cover by Jarflys. It was a request for my birthday a couple years ago that they palyed. Jimi from Jimmie's Chicken Shack fronts the band and does the intro but doesn't play on it. Bryan Ewald sings and plays guitar. He showed Larry Melton the bass player the bass line before the show started. I forgot who the drummer was that night but he never practiced the song. Anyways it's the last song at this show. It filled a void for me while the Pumpkins were disbanded.

ahhh...the old "move away from the mic and mumble when you don't know the lyrics" trick

Lol.

I think it's ok. With what it sounded like they had it was an ok cover.

If you didn't say in the OP that half the band didn't even know what they were doing, I'd rip into them more.

But for not knowing the song very well, it's cool.

But yeah, it sounds like he forgot that part. ;)

Are you talking about the main riff? Because it sounded weird to me too.

not sure, i think it's because they aren't playing it in Billy's 'grunge tuning'. He tunes the guitar 1/2 step down on almost all SP songs.

I think they're playing the first note of the riff wrong too.

Here's the pumpkins version

Weird, I remember Jimmie's chicken shack from a long time ago, I bought one of their albums when I was younger. Was wondering what happened to that guy.

That song I hate with a passion and made the mistake of rushing the stage and giving Jimi the finger.
