It's a shame Zeitgeist's vocals weren't mixed like this. i_adore_adore 11-04-2007, 12:30 PM How many threads to we need about this? Honestly... Billy does it everywhere, not just the AOL sessions. nofix 11-04-2007, 12:31 PM i don't get it. if you don't like billy's vocals, don't listen? simple concept, dumbfuck. stripes 11-04-2007, 12:37 PM ^Yeah, that too! Dumbfuck! cookieouss 11-04-2007, 01:35 PM ime is ever ime at all, ou an ever ever eave, ithout eaving a iece of ooooh I like it. a lot actually even better than the album itself. the vocals you are complaining about are a throwback to TFE. Very similar vocal stylings almost recreating a digital presence. i_adore_adore 11-04-2007, 01:38 PM I didn't mind the vocals so much until you just said they're a throwback to TFE. Now I hate them. cookieouss 11-04-2007, 01:40 PM I didn't mind the vocals so much until you just said they're a throwback to TFE. It makes me wish that Zeigieigetst was a live album instead slappyspank33 11-05-2007, 12:59 PM yeah, I brought this up too. I had asked if anyone with some recording software could dub in the miss "t"'s and "y"'s. I think he's never sounded better. Go watch the performance of Tonight, Tonight at the MTV music awards back in the 90's and then watch it being performed on this tour. Huge improvement. theghostchild 11-05-2007, 01:47 PM i don't get it. if you don't like billy's vocals, don't listen? simple concept, dumbfuck. EXACTLY. Thank you for saying this....it's really that simple. I don't like Macy Gray's voice (or music), so I don't fucking listen to Macy Gray. xezton 11-05-2007, 02:08 PM EXACTLY. Thank you for saying this....it's really that simple. I don't like Macy Gray's voice (or music), so I don't fucking listen to Macy Gray. MACY GRAY  Someone took a fingernail file and rammed it down her throat about 100 times, waited for her to heal up, and then asked her to record music. This is her secret. I swear. Diesel 11-05-2007, 02:18 PM Only a black woman could have a singing voice that bad and still make it singing love songs xezton 11-05-2007, 02:36 PM Only a black woman could have a singing voice that bad and still make it singing love songs Only a tall, bald white guy could have a singing voice as odd as Billy's and still make it singing love songs. :that'sracist!: skipgo 11-05-2007, 02:43 PM i've missed slappy and his wheelchair. bja1288 11-05-2007, 03:05 PM I'm in a wheelchair. dude this is totally not fair, just because you can wheelchair surf and get all the ladies by saying the magic word doesnt mean you can flaunt it! brillo998 11-05-2007, 03:07 PM this is way better than the 2007 vocals. he actually pronounces words and doesnt sing like hes choking for air. SlingeroGuitaro 11-05-2007, 03:10 PM wow, back when they didn't need to distort everything. how nice. bja1288 11-05-2007, 03:13 PM they were better and more articulate in the 90s???????????? no effing way! i gotta see more of this shit! woooooah Diesel 11-05-2007, 03:15 PM sounds fine to me. the aol sessions just weren't the best vocally. Caine Walker 11-05-2007, 03:33 PM Yes. His voice is still fucking great, dont get me wrong and it sounds alot cooler on the newer shit like superchrist. But I miss alot of the raspyness and the cackle that he dosent really do all that much anymore. I think a prime example would be in the new version of bullet with buterfly wings and zero. It sounds like hes just trying to sing it more nicely and modernized. Either way pumpkins are still easily the best band around. brendo_91 11-06-2007, 07:08 AM who is the huge troll that has taken over 10 accounts to discuss billys vocals with himself? uh. you do realize jubjub here is one of the people behind hipstersunited? bja1288 11-06-2007, 01:49 PM uh. you do realize jubjub here is one of the people behind hipstersunited? yes, their site is entertaining every once in a blue moon, and i appreciate their different perspective. discussion of billys vocals on the other hand...
