My record pool has the 1979 accapella/instrumentals but I have been hard pressed to find any more anywhere else.

Any idea if any exist?

isn't there a video of billy doing sweet sweet a capella? i think it's part of the fruit bat salad compilation, the one that in<fucking>cludes live versions of all siamese dream songs.

What is the source of the 1979 acapella? I don't see reference to it on spfc.org.

Similarly, does anyone know of any live performances where the vocal is much louder than the other instruments or is separated spacially from them (by being tracked down the middle while the other instruments are panned hard right or hard left...or vice versa?

I haven't listened to this one in a long time:

http://www.spfc.org/songs-releases/boot.html?boot_id=32

But I seem to remember the vocals sounding very unnaturally high in the mix, like you mentioned.

(on tracks 6-13, the electric set)

because its not an official release

record pools get instrumentals/accapellas of a lot of tunes that arent released

thus how the 1979 remixes/teitbite remixes came about

you've sort of got the acoustic version of mayonaise, which is basically the acoustic click track from the cd version and billy's ultraprocessed vocals on top of it.
its got that 'studio stripped down' feel youre looking for... check it out

isn't there a similar thing for spaceboy on mashed potatoes?

i'm not sure. i only remember an acoustic spaceboy, and i thought it was studio.

man, the spaceboy version with the slide guitars is really bad
the mellotron does more for it than i realized
