i love that cover, it's hilarious

i love the gish cover. it was one of the first albums i ever walked up to and bought, and considering i was a kid, the cover factored into this. i had heard cherub rock and wanted to get a pumpkin cd, and the first pumpkin album i got wasnt even siamese dream. also being obsessed with nirvana one of the people working at the store namedropped nirvana when i asked how the album sounded. it must've humored him that this little 8 year old kid was asking him about the smashing pumpkins.

i didnt get really into them until years later

Hey Milstead, why don't you like The Air Force cover?
I know Xiu Xiu usually has some pretty minimalist or simple artwork, but for some reason this one's always felt like a low-budget local band from the early 90's that found a picture of a bleeding Christ, though it looked cool, and made a bunch of copies of it regardless how the image proportions fit in the square. I'm just expecting to see the band's name typed out in Times New Roman on the side or over the picture or something.
