And I found this: http://www.netcomuk.co.uk/~tewing/ned/nedmain.html There's also a link to another list at the end. Freaky Trigger rules. All I can say is that it turned me into a real music lover and got me to open my mind to new music. Hope this helps someone else too, even if you only end up discovering one or two new bands. sarmatianus smashingjj 02-22-2002, 11:11 AM any Queen album. Especially their 2nd, "Reckoning"... easily one of my top 5 albums. Folladori 02-24-2002, 03:45 AM The Kinks- Village Green Preservation Society, and the Zombies- Odessey and Oracle are two of the most amazing pop albums of all time. I'd put Village Green above most Beatles albums, myself. Tall Dwarfs- Hello Cruel World is a home-recording classic that hasn't been heard by nearly enough people. If you like weird, primitivist lo-fi pop, by all means check this one out. Gary Numan's Pleasure Principle defines 80's synth-pop, and the fact that it contains the song "Cars" means that it's never going to be recognized as a classic, just a kitschy relic. Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is definately up there. I'm sure most of you would agree that it's generally seen as an obscure underground classic and is given a fair amount of attention, but in my opinion, it's the greatest album of the last 20 years. Until every man, woman, and child in the world owns a copy of this record, it hasn't had enough recognition. ------------------ http://allstarpowerup.com/incoming/joeshill-gimp.jpg All Star Powerup Music.
