Facebook is blocked for me here at work. Can anyone tell me what it has to say about the secret rehearsal show in Montreal prior to the Osheaga Festival this weekend?!

Hey Pumpkins fans, you waited 10 years for them to come back to Montreal, and in just 2 days you will get to see them perform on the Osheaga stage BUT how about an up close and personal private gig to warm things up? That’s right, you and your (new) best friend will get to check out an exclusive (secret, of course) REHEARSAL tomorrow pm, (time & location TBA). Hurry to enter as the contest deadline is tomorrow by 11am, at which point a lucky winner will be selected and notified.

Thats how people people in Quebec use English.
I got accused of colonialism when I told a South African that a certain word didnt carry a certain connotation in the English language. Thats when I realized English has been around long enough in non-English parts of the world for different Englishes to form.
I believe the line was "Who's to say your English is better than our English?" :erm:
Anyway...ya, welcome to bilingual English.
All that to say...anyone capable of writing that text is capable of translating a plural to a plural or a singular to a singular. ;)

i did manage to win 2 sets of tickets to the Music plus performance that they did in 2000... (those friends from toronto did appreciate the extra tickets)

I would think it's just a rehearsal. I remember getting into an Our Lady Peace rehearsal/soundcheck where they just played around for an hour and then came and chatted with us.

It'll probably be Bleeding the Orchid played 15 times in a row or something ;)

......or 3 hours of Jimmy practicing drum fills for Geek USA and Jellybelly. Neither of which they will play :)

(Having said that, I'd pay to watch Jimmy practicing for 3 hours)

I've been asking around alot and no one knows anything...
no-one from POP or MEG or greenland have any idea...
a spittle of a bad rumour was 'el salon' but fat chance since it's closed...

my phone would have rang by now if their was a billy sighting at any 'scene' places
but i seriously doubt they'd be up for a night on the town.......

osheaga press have spewed some rumour that "cranky corgan" didn't want 100 amateur photographers flashing away during his set, so they cancelled about 150 photo passes... which pisses off lots of people i know who had been written onto photo pass guest lists... i'm sure it's a load of horse shit, blaming corgan seems like the easy cop out....
the festival is a crap anyhow... loads of bands have backed out already and they've hardly sold tickets
90$ and the only good band on the bill is SP... pretty steep...
again this year 1/2 the people attending are on guest passes and comp tickets
my ticket was won from a blog site who had free-bee promo tickets to give away...
no idea how they keep this festival going... their ain't gonna be a 3d year that's for sure

but either way
i'm gonna head out tomorrow and have a good time
rain or shine!

there are a few other people on that wall who said "it was amazing" etc. but I don't think they're referring to the "secret" rehearsal show for SP.. they mean the whole festival.. the only dude who referred to the secret show specifically was the one you tried to message... he's probably just continuing to be a jerk by not replying to you.. he might have just been BS'ing also, the way he was overdoing it with the OMG WOO HOO and !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! guess we'll never know what happened.. probably just a 2 hour gossamer rehearsal :)
