I really want to tape at the Salt Lake show but when I called the Venue they referred me to a lady who lives in CA who i guess is the Concert Correspondent for the pumpkins. I asked her if there was going to be taping at the show and her first response was no but I told her that they have an open taping policy. She said that was for the residency shows only... Is there anyone else that was to tape with me in utah who would like to help get permission? or I guess tape anywhere?

a clear declaration of our new open-source taping policy...everyone is welcome to tape at our shows in whatever capacity they see fit...anyone is welcome and invited to document using audio, video, or picture cameras (cell phones are welcome)...although we do reserve the right to refuse anyone at anytime (especially if we feel the reason for recording is not for entirely altruistic)...God bless nothing in that statement says only for residency shows
print this out, hope that it's enough for the venue when they question you about your gear
if they try and stop you from bringing it in try and talk to gooch (i've heard that has worked in the past)

that's dumb. people at the venues generally don't know shit about whether or not a band allows taping...depends where you go I guess, but then there is that gray area of what the venue has for rules.
the stealth approach is more badass anyway, but that's not easy for people who want to shoot video.

I know on my Detroit tickets it says no audio/video taping. I think that's a venue policy though.

tickets almost always say that
stealth is your best bet, but my advice was for if you're caught
