Kanye, Pumpkins To Headling Bang! Music Festival

Kanye West and Smashing Pumpkins will headline the 2007 Bang! Music Festival, to be held Nov. 10-11 at Miami's Bayfront Park Amphitheatre. Tickets go on sale Saturday (Sept. 1).

Thirty acts are expected to perform at the Haddad Productions-steered event, which is expanding to two days this year. Confirmed so far are the Bravery, Riverboat Gamblers, Automatic Loveletter and Kevens.

Bang! debuted in 2005 with a lineup featuring Fischerspooner, VHS Or Beta and the Brazilian Girls. Last year's festival boasted appearances by Daft Punk, Duran Duran, Gnarls Barkley and Modest Mouse.

Anyone been to this festival before? Might make a trip down there.

Recently realigned alt-rock mavens Smashing Pumpkins and hip-hop icon Kanye West have been announced as headliners for the third annual Bang! Music Festival, slated to hit Miami's Bayfront Park Amphitheater Nov. 10 and 11. Bang! Fest's 2007's installment, freshly expanded to a two-day event, will also feature performances from Riverboat Gamblers and Automatic Loveletter, both of which will hit the stage alongside West Saturday Nov. 10, while the Bravery and Kevens saddle up with Billy Corgan and crew Sunday Nov. 11 for what will be the Smashing Pumpkins' only Florida performance this year. Bang! Festival will announce further performing acts as the event date nears; the full line up is expected to exceed 30 acts.

Tickets go on sale Sept. 1 at 10 A.M. EST via bangmusicfestival.com and cost $75 per day, while VIP amenities run $250 per day.

i think the pumpkins demand that they are the headliner. as part of the deal. and then it's up to the organizer to accept or decline.

Thanks. Hmmmmmm I may get tickets for both days now.... On a side note, I wish the Bravery wasn't on their though. I just saw them open for Incubus two days ago, the guitarist was really good but the singer was gay and kept trying to look cool and steal the spotlight during the guitarists solo.

Kanye West is actually a lot of fun live, for those of you unsure of seeing rap live.

Spoon are also playing on the 11th.

Seeing Spoon live is what ruined them for me. Very boring.

I liked them the first time I saw them (October 2005), but the second and third times didn't do it for me.
