So I'm driving the other day with my girlfriend and I let her listen to "Starz." When the song is over, I ask her what she thinks and she just kind of looks at me like she just ate a bowl of fresh dog shit or something, and says she didn't really like it.

Later, she trys to explain to me why she doesn't like Billy Corgan and the only explanation the girl can muster is just that "he's weird." So I start thinking to myself about how if Billy is weird then most SP fans are probably pretty weird too, and just don't really realize it. Or maybe they do.

Either way, it appears to me that if you're trying to impress the ladies, playing SP2 might not be the best idea.

Haha, I love Starz and yet at the same time so ashamed, but the lame ass lyrics are one of the things I love about it, that and the fact it totally rawks, especially when the guitars really kick in at the end, it leaves me satisfied and wanting just that little bit more.

The Smashign Pumpkins remind me of Pink Floyd in that there are two kinds of fans. Those who dig only the popular stuff, and those that dig everything.

Just like there are people who only like Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness and Siamese Dream, and cringe whenever I play Adore or Zeitgiest, there are Pink Floyd fans that love Meddle, Dark Side of the Moon, and Wish You Were Here that cringe when I play Piper at the Gates of Dawn or A Saucerful of Secrets.
