I seem to spend a lot more time listening to the demos than the actual thing. Anyone else find this?

well, i'd say i spend more time listening to Machina acoustic demos AND machina II; but on their own the acousitc demos probably get as much play as the finished product.

Only because the sound on the finished product is better though (and not significantly at that). it's a shame he left some of the best songs from that era off the album; and crapped up some once good ones (see: BSBT)

I like the acoustic demos but I'm the rare fan that actually really loves Machina. I like "Laugh" a lot, that probably should have been on the album over "Imploding Voice" or something.

Laugh was pretty awesome.

i love all things machina but the acoustic demos are really something. the recordings are so warm and hissy, like bill just lit a fire on a winter's morning and decided to write some primo downbeat shit. laugh is really powerful. here i am is good too. the others are pretty and gloomy but don't stand out as much.

I don't listen to either. I'm too busy listening to the new Fall Out Boy cd. Those guys rule.

the demos are fine, but they lack the majesty that is machina.

If you would, please tuck the bottom of your cardigan into the jeans. It'll make a statement about your choices in fashion. Hopefully everyone will start doing it. Then we'll know a FOB fan when we see one.
