I REALLY HATE the chorus background vocals and those so rock style guitar solos of Zeitgeist!

Billy, what was you thinking when you decided to make this album sounds so gay??? Wtf are that background vocals you do in almost (or all) songs?? And why in all songs??? Couldnt you make this joke in just one song?!? Why in all?? It is at minimum repetitive isnt??

Each time I hear that background vocals I almost cry and think angry WTF is this?!? I though I bought a SP album?!? Those vocals kill me, I try to ignore them then I wait for the next song and PUM LALALALALALALLAAALLAAA there it goes again!!!!!

That sounds so really gay that I cant even show this Smashing Pumpkins new songs to a friend and say: "Listen to this crazy freaking sound" anymore... They will laught at me... lol (this just a metaphor of course)

Why did you chose Ray Thomas 'GAY' Baker??? That guy was the worst choice you could had, he f.ucked up so much the Pumpkins essence sound on this album that I can bet he hated Smashing Pumpkins sound like it was before and almost seems he didnt even know the Pumpkins sound properlly and so he changed it so much to his style (for worst).

He simply blowed up all Zeitgeist with his Queen's style chorus background vocals and rocky guitar solos.
Zeitgeist is full of Queen's vibes I personally dont like much Queen, so It is being so hard for me to love Zeitgeist... :(

I'm already waiting for a new SP album coz this one Im afraid will suck 4ever (im still listening to it and hope to love it lool)

LOVE

p.s. no offence for the 'real' gays heh lol

I don't even notice the background vocals, they seem to go well with the songs and don't bother me whatsoever

So what exactly is your friends' laughter a metaphor of? Sounds pretty complex.

You're not shocked? Now that's not shocking. I guess it's good to know that folks associate me with being a positive fan anyway. And yes, I do believe the positive things I write about the band and it's albums. My comments are in no way insincere.

Excellent post. You've nailed part of what makes Z unlistenable. You've expressed what many of us are feeling. Never back down and always post your true feelings. While we're at it, why not enjoy some classic Billy brilliance:

good point. I know some too, for some people, it's a difficult way to live. But then again life can be difficult for all types of people.

OMG if you dont even notice the background vocals go to listen Celine Dion instead of listen Pomp and Circunstances because Im sure it will sound the same thing for you.

Pomp Circumstances lyrics:
"(...) la la la la laaaaaaaaaaaa la (...) wtf is this?!

So what exactly is your friends' laughter a metaphor of? Sounds pretty complex.

In first of all I will tell you again that indeed If I''ll show a Zeitgeist song to a friend, he will laught at me and would say "Are you listening to that fag music now?!? LOOL"

Well and I say this is just a metaphor coz I really dont care what the others think about the music I listen and I dont choose to listen this band or the other by a question a social status like: "heh man I very kewl coz I do listen to NIN and I really hate Spice Girls"

I listen from Bon Jovi to hard psychadelic trance and I dont have problems saying this...
I hope you understand now what my metaphor means... :E

Your friends beat you up a lot, don't they?

Best to stick with the Bon Jovi.

edit: BTW, as much as you're throwing teh gay thing around in here, I wouldn't be admitting to listening to Bon Jovi. :noway:

But Bon Jovi are Bon Jovi .... (is all about mellow, fagging around and romantic thing) while SP is suposed to be SP...

p.s. Ah and Bon Jovi dont use these chorus annoying voices

No, Bon Jovi doesn't use those "chorus annoying voices".

So, you admit to enjoying the "mellow, fagging around" music, but have a real problem with Zeitgeist, which you feel, essentially, is "mellow, fagging around" music. Hmm, we're getting some mixed signals here.
