Woody 06-08-2002, 07:01 AM That isn't too bad a tracklisting.
I would definitely take out TEITBITE.
Saturnine would have to go before Ava Adore...so it could lead in to it, being as the outro to Saturnine = intro to Ava Adore.
So my ultimate Adore tracklisting, if running time were no object, would be:
1. To Sheila
2. Perfect
3. Daphne Descends
4. Let Me Give the World To You
5. Saturnine
6. Ava Adore
7. Once in a While
8. Crestfallen
9. Appels + Oranjes
10. Pug
11. Eye
12. Shame
13. Behold the Nightmare
14. The Tale Of Dusty And Pistol Pete
15. Sparrow
16. Waiting
17. For Martha
18. Blank Page
And maybe: 19.Czarina

I like your suggestion, but I would like to see Blissed and Gone in there. Not the released version though, a more stripped down version like the one on the Adore Demos. Perhaps I would put it after Crestfallen. I would take Appels and Oranjes out, throw it on the ground and stomp on it until it sounds more like Raindrops and Sunshowers.

TheDeuce 06-09-2002, 02:32 AM I don't have the Adore "Saturnine", so I didn't consider it. Downloading now...
LMGTWTY wasn't really "finished" until MACHINA, so I don't count it as a Adore song, but, if I did it'd be on there.
I'm pretty sure Sparrow was a Adore era song.

Wrong, LMGTWTY was recorded for Adore. I remember reading a conversation in which it was mentioned that Billy once asked Dave Asselin what he thought of the Adore LMGTWTY studio, as if he thought it had been leaked out.
[Please pardon any inaccuracies - Its all heresay]

I still think that the Adore version of LMGTWTY was finished and fit for release. It was not included on Adore because of the length that this would have made the album - Billy says this at an Adore era concert, perhaps Houston, I don't remember. I don't think that Billy would have seriously considered putting it on the album before he had made a decent polished studio recording, so that he knew what it sounded like. To say a song is not finished until it is released is a little silly to me - but perhaps that is not what you mean.

Nothing, I think evidence that this was recorded comes from a photograph of the bands whiteboard at the studio. Saturnine and LMGTWTY were also on this whiteboard.
