I've met a lot of Nirvana diehards who believe wholeheartedly that Courtney Love murdered Kurt Cobain. As far as I can tell, their basis for this argument are the last few lines of his suicide note, which are written slightly more erratically than the rest of the note, and because it changes from what appears (to some) to be a farewell letter to his fans to a "goodbye forever, please don't give up on yourself" note to Courtney.

While I feel that the sudden shift in tone may have been caused by, say I don't know... the shitload of herion in his system added to his already chaotic state of mind and these people pretty much have their heads up their asses, I guess I was just wondering if any of you have heard any of these people try to point the finger at Billy as well. After all, I don't believe for one second that Courtney Love is smart enough to get away with murder, but I suppose if she had someone do all the work for her (much the way she's had for her entire career) it could be possible.

Now let me clarify here. I don't believe Kurt Cobain was murdered. And even if he was, I don't believe for one second that Billy Corgan had ANYTHING to do with it, nor am I in any way implying that he did. I'm just curious if any Cobain cultists ever tried to accuse him of it with the whole rivalry thing in both their personal and professional lives.

kurt was murdered. a man in the book tells the writers who courtney hired to do it (allan wrench). that man is dead the next week.

kurt had three times the fatal limit of heroin in his body at the time of death. the theory being he was injected by someone else and then shot. the culprit then set it up to look like a suicide.

also the book mentions that in her grief courtney holed up with billy the week after kurts death in a hotel in san diego.

billly had nothing to do with the death. courtney did. and billy supported courtney afterwards.

the book is really good and has a detailed timeline of the whole event.

I wonder that too. Now that I've read a little bit more about it, I'm not so 100% on the "Kurt definitely killed himself" idea. I suppose my ignorance can be blamed on sleeping with this chick who was a diehard Nirvana fan and thought Kurt was the greatest musical genius to ever walk this earth.

But anyway... yeah... I have a feeling that if she did, he would know about it. Man... what would you do in that situation? Turn in your friend or try not to judge her for.... uh... some reason? He was "intoxicated" after Kurt died and then got "ran over by a train".
I don't know, I read a lot about the suicide, and I really don't think he was murdered but I think they should at least re-open the case. It'd be cool to see if it actually was a murder. But whatever, nothing can be changed...he'll still be dead.

Counter arguments for those that believe it was a murder.
-The whole "pull the trigger with feet thing" actually wasn't the case, he coulda reached it according to investigators.
-Having a bajillion times more heroin in him than the living limit...Kurt did heroin his whole life, he was immune to it
-The note was written when he was high, it's supposed to look like shit and make no sense. And he does make hints of death in the main note, not just the end.
