so...maybe instead of an opening act in dallas, SP can play extra long?

I like The Bravery. Well... the one song I've heard... and their "Rocket" cover was one of the best.

I just listened to some of EITS's stuff and is it really that good in concert? It seems like it would be something cool to listen to when you wanna just lay down and relax, but doesn't seem like it would be that exciting at a concert.

I saw the Bravery open for Depeche Mode last year [DM is an AWESOME live band, by the way] and I thought they were pretty good. I'd much rather have EITS, though.

I wonder who will fill in for them in Dallas? I would cream my pants if it was Interpol or the Arcade Fire. Maybe Modest Mouse? Kill Hannah! Well ... scratch that ... KH started sucking after Kerry left and the studio over-produced the snot out of their songs.

Who knows. EITS is definitely a very atmospheric band in the same vein [sp?] as M83, Ratatat, Mogwai, or Sigur Ros. To have a bunch of people standing around chattring would definitely take away from the enjoyment. I've only seen EITS in small venues with EITS fans who were polite and quiet during the set.

i personally think it'd be really weird to see eits in a 5k+ capacity venue (i don't know the exact size of all these places, but i have been to some of the places, like the tower theater and it's pretty big).

the bravery are a second-rate killers --- who aren't exactly good in the first place.
bad. eits > the bravery for sure.

i think the large venue / talkers during the openers could definitely take away from the set. i've seen them with a crowd as small as 20 and also with a crowd as big as 3k.. so it'll definitely be interesting if i end up catching one of these shows.

I think EITS could be really epic in a larger setting, kind of like U2 without the suck

I was looking at Explosions in the Sky's site and it said they did the album for Friday Night lights and I liked the music as much as the movie it self so I am pretty excited.

totally agree about EITS being an awesome opener and putting on a kickass show in those sized venues. not to mention what the whole concert experience would be like (probably would help bring out the best in billy).

but god damn it my only date after 10/11 is dallas and they won't be there....

you lucky dogs.

Dammit.

So we Pittsburghers are stuck with The Bravery... and it's their last night?

Explosions in the Sky is so much better.

Explosions in the Sky are so good and seeing The Bravery instead is going to make me really mad. That would be the best show ever, my two favorite bands.

Taking a friend to the show for their birthday, and the bravery is one of their favorite bands. For that reason i'd rather see the bravery, but eits seems to have overwhelming support.
