HIV not only brought our Transformer collecting to an end, it also ended our dream of a family: the kids we thought would play with these toys one day; the toddler I thought would wear the t-shirt that is part of this collection. Anthony and I would not even get to grow old together; he died of AIDS in 1998 at the age of forty.

Wow.

She's stickin' with the same age potential spouse as when she started the transformer journey... kinda creepy

Anthony would be 49 now... so she has to be somewhere around there..

my ex, who had a 300 (probably more) transformers collection (who eventually sold the lot to buy a complete gi joe collection 6 years ago) had a bunch of those old ones with people inside, before they came to the US, pretty cool. I bought him a clear yellow Ultra Magnus for his birthday and the dollar here was so bad it came to $300 for the toy :( What an idiot i was.

Like 4-5 years ago somenoe on ebay sold these casts for prototypes of a GI Joe/Transformers crossover line of Army vehicles Hasbro was thinking of creating but never did. There was like 4-5 of them i think, they went for something like 40 grand? I can't remember but it was insane.

Q: get off the crack...you'll never get a million dollars..moron

A: I would get off the crack, but answering all these emails keeps me on it--I mean MY crack, not THE crack. Moron? That's just norom, backwards. xineohP

Q: Dear Phoenix,I am sorry to hear about your loss...it is a very touching story. I will glady pay you in full the amount of $2847.62 for your collection. I look forward to a positive response. Love, Scottsdale

A: Oh, dear Scottsdale... if only your bid was $2847.63... what might have been... ;-) Love you back, Phoenix

I like this chick! :)

I wonder if she will actually get her $1 million. Or a lame excuse: "my car broke down and I don't have the money now".

I understand the 'everything in one place' deal, but if you bought each one individually on its own the collection would be around 36,000 (at a high price of around $300 each). I am really fucking jealous of whoever bought this. I would kill to have that Devastator gift box or some of Soundwave's tapes.

You think they would only be worth $36,000? And the highest valued at $300? I figured they would be worth more, but I don't know much about what their values would be.
