If I'm waiting outside all day, I usually solicit the bathroom at Safeway around the corner from The Fillmore.

The venue requires that u go to a flag poll to wait. In front of the post office. Their is one entrance. For the band to come threw.

Parking

Their is a lot of street parking, but beware that their is No parking 6am - 8am tues & thurs (street cleaning)

Paid parking @ the fillmore center. Is as shown
<img src="http://www.monteit.com/parking.jpg">

Places To Eat
Combo: KFC / Taco Bell open 10am - 11pm
Bathroom cost a quarter. Or free for customers. (Clean bathroom)
No Free water cups

Donut shop across the street.

Around the corner (5 mins or less away)
Korean BBQ
Pizza by the slice
Subway, sushi place, panda express, starbucks, popeyes, Domino Pizza, Safeway grocery store w/ wells fargo bank brach.

Inside the Fillmore

When you walk in, you go up stairs and in front of you is a tub of red apples. You can get a free apple (have one or two) is the motto.

On the floor their are 8 wooden pads on the left you can sit on. The center is best for video. their is a wooden bench on the right w/ tables. Which some are reserved.

If you go to the front their is suppose to be a stander rail about 2 feet from the stage. The Stage is 5 feet tall and then the little added on speakers will make it about 7 feet once you see the bands legs. the rail may be too close for video. unless you love them close ups.

Upstairs their will be 3 available balcony spots. Seating about 6 to 8. their is also tables as well. The rail that is on the balcony is about as wide as a half dollar.

Stairs to balcony is to the left as you enter. near the merchandise

All the merchandise to buy will be located to the left when you walk in and up the main stairs.

Their are 4 bars. 3 of which face the stage. And one in a lounge kind of room.

The bathroom is intense for the boys. One large place to pee. 4 stalls and 2 urnal, w/o walls.

as you enter the venu boys bathroom is to the right girls to the left. (note girls bathroom down a small narrow hallway)

I could not find the photo of SP. Or poster from their past show.

Their is an atm machine located in the lobby.

I asked about the sound check and they said if doors are close it is very doubtful you can hear it.

Any more questions?

Goddamn Monte, you suck.

If I have time, I will type up a decent guide to the Fillmore / Geary area in the next few days.

And when I see you, I may just have to punch you for seven years of the improper using of "their."

i was just covering the 5 min walk dip.

anyone with a little bit of google knowledge could just use their map system. almost all of SF is Street View Ready

The nearest one to the Fillmore is probably Civic Center (BART that is)... you'd then have to catch a bus from there to the Fillmore. www.sfmta.org

I'm 7 months pregnant and I have tickets for the 30th and the 1st. Standing for a long period of time isn't an option, so I'm wondering: where is the best place to sit at the Fillmore? I haven't attended a show there in several years (and back then I was more concerned with being in the front row than sitting down). I have a vague idea that I can sit at the bar on the balcony? How early should I get in line in order to guarantee a place to sit? Would it be possible to have my friend who is attending the shows with me hold our place or do I need to wait the entire time as well since the tickets are in my name? Also, does anyone have a good sense of how violent the crowds have been at the residency shows so far? I've attended SP shows in the past where the fans were pretty rough (especially near the stage). Is this still true? Are people more laid back near the back of the club? Any advice is appreciated... thanks in advance!

i would assume with all the tapers it'll be less rough near the soundboard area

Before you enter the venue go to the box office and mention this and they will most likely give you handicapped seating that is along the floor on the right.

LUCKY 13, 2140 Market St

yeah.. never been to either, but have heard good things about both.. check out this review of Lucky 13! http://www.yelp.com/biz/7rs_PZ3yO9ZrVVSyx3bB0g

Lucky 13 is what you might call mini-zeitgeist. Until you get there and see a nubile young 35 year old, stripping on the bar and grabbing twenties with labia. You then meander towards the back patio, where you find yourself drinking in your favorite friend's backyard. Until Pappy kicks you out and eats your weed.
There's free popcorn. There's a hot bartender. There's a photobooth for making out in, and there's cartoon cats all over the walls. Next time you're bored at amber come hang out with us instead -- you CAN smoke there, remember, I said there was a patio, retard.
