Oh, I know, Philly woulda been easier, but I have buddies in Boston that are also diehards, and I've seen Billy at the Orpheum twice. So it's kind of tradition.

Since I'm in Albany, NYC's just a little closer to me than Boston, and I'm more familiar with the city so it'll just be a little easier. A weekend date would be ideal, too! Getting time off from work is getting to be such a hassle... they're always trying to keep me down.

Depends on when you take the fung wah. If you leave late at night it takes 3hr45min. Plus it's better than $50 over night parking or all the parking tickets you'll get.

I've heard Fung Wah drivers go really fast sometimes.

But I've also heard from one guy that his Fung Wah driver pulled over at a casino on the way because a majority of people on the bus wanted to go in. May be nonsense, but still F'ed up.

I saw the pumpkins one more time after that, in Montreal on the Summersault tour. The sound @ that Tsongas arena was indeed wretched, but the montreal show they just seemed worn out and tired... shows I saw in '96 & '98 were much better for numerous reasons.

Mezz tickets don't seem to be there for the presale. I'll be at both shows in Boston... possibly taping, although I'm not sure what the sound is like in the balcony at the orpheum.

Anyone taking fung wah - make sure you get them, and not another brand of chinatown bus. Sometimes those turn out to just be a guy with a van.

I was at the secret show in Providence that was the best Pumpkins show. I still think the Boston TFE show was the best show I've seen ever.

Mezz Tickets were under the $49 ticket option. I tried a few times and didn't get any hits on them.

Well I saw them at both Lupo's and Lowell and Lowell was horrendous, everyone else got Mayonaise around that time in their set but us.

Seems I missed out on the presale, didn't get in from Philly til noon so I best make sure I'm not too hungover Saturday morning.

I stood in line at Virgin in Boston to meet them for a signing, but after an hour or so they had to scram down to Lupos. It's all your fault.

BTW, I heard they were pissed at that show for some reason.

They did a very powerful, heavy first set and a more playful second set with some Billy solo stuff in the middle. Billy got kind of snippy at James at the end when he started playing Today after they had played it earlier. So he started playing Tristessa and Billy was like, 'no we're not playing that either' or something. The music was fucking great though.

Beantown Pub sounds like it's going to be the place. It's nice and close. There is no drinking allowed at your seat and the beers are $7 [for Harpoon] at the Orpheum.

I bought the Incubus cd online in order to get a pre-sale code only to find out the presale was a weekday morning at 10 a.m. (when i can't be home)... they sold the entire show out in the presale apparently because the morning they went on sale to the public at exactly 10 a.m. there were no tickets available.

Anyone know of a cheap place near the venue to stay at?

The venue is in a notoriously over priced part of Boston. The two closest hotels are the Ritz Carlton and the NineZero Hotel. Both which run well over $300 a night. Check hotels.com and you'll be able to find one at a decent price. Just keep in mind the hotel tax here is rediculous. A $240 a night hotel will run $60 in taxes.
