I've gotten pit seats in the past - but it was from a membership-based fan club for the Killers. You had to pay $20 to join for a year.

I'm going to guess that there were none made available.

I don't blame ticketmaster...I blame the band for supporting a pre-sale of crappy seats only and for not having a fan club. I would gladly pay up to $50 a year if it meant first shot at good seats. Also, I would not have bought the album from iTunes if I knew the pre-sale wouldn't help me.

That is Ticketmaster for you, when I saw the date come up, I got Row C seats first time through, bought those and went back, found Pit tickets.

To be honest, I will most likely be selling the pit tickets and using my Row C tickets for the Wednesday show. I just don't see the point in spending $100+ to move up 2-3 rows.

Again, I can't stress this enough, don't buy the first pair you see, refresh several times, I am still finding single letter Row tickets in pairs.

Not too bad. Not as good as I had hoped for 10/30...oh well. Not much worse than I could've got during the pre-sale. I had to hold out for hope of better seats. Now I'm just pissed I missed the 10/31 onsale by about 15 minutes.

I've been to atlanta twice, it's only 4 hrs away from me. It has a <b>lot</b> of bars, 745 bmws, same sex couples, and I think I saw a starbucks. I think some of the radio there is uncensored, etc... They better play we only come out at night on the 31st.

I stayed at the Westin last time and plan on it again this time. Its top notch, the big circular building downtown and goes for about $160 per night for up to 4 people. The Westin is right across the street from the Hard rock and the Fox is a mile walk. I'm not suggesting a mile walk in Downtown Atlanta is a safe thing though.

I always stay there if I decide to spend the night after a show at the Tabernacle. All the artists who preform there stay there, I've seen Beck swimming in the hotel's pool with the band at like 3am

There's allot of hotels around there, Westin, Marriot, Hilton, Hyatt...
Also, it's right by that new aquarium.

I stayed in the Westin in dowtown NY- it was great. The shower was huge, and the beds which were aptly named- heavenly.

i live 3 miles away from the fox, so lemme break it down for ya

hotels: the georgian terrace is across the street, a bit expensive i bet but definitely the closest location. Also try Renaissance hotel, its at 590 west peachtree, which is a 5 minute walk... theres also the best western at 330 peachtree street.... To give you an idea, I believe the address for the Fox is 674 Peachtree or something close to that.

So all of those hotels should be fine... Renaissanceis probably your best bet.

To eat, there is a Varsity, Subway and KFC a block away. Lots of other things but nothing too interesting hah.

If anyone is visiting atlanta, you'll want to go to the Georgia Aquarium, its just across the freeway, and its the largest aquarium in the world.

I used to deliver pizza in the area so I know the area real well.

If anyone wants to offer tickets for the 30th, ill take em!

I don't have tickets but will probably roll down anyway for at least one of the shows. My experience has been that you can always get tickets outside the venue often times for cheaper than face value.

Dude that's only like a 3.5 hour drive. By the time you figure in security checks and the possibility of getting stuck out on the runway you are much better off going by car.

We were getting free tickets because the stripper who was going with us knows someone in either the Fox or SP production team (not clear on who or what this person is). i guess the next best thing to think about is what other members are doing tonite in town. it seems to me that whenever some bands cancel shows, they go to other shows around and check out bands or play something on the spot. when coldplay got rained out several years ago, they joined the frames in a ridiculously small venue for a few songs.

granted, the circumstances might not be the same as that situation, but it makes you wonder if any other members will go out on the town since they're here and they'll be here tomorrow nite.

and what about explosions in the sky? it would be so badass for them to sneak into lenny's or the loft and play a full set.

wasn't that in the middle of the resume the pose tour, where the dates were posted just a few days prior to them playing? that tour was more impromptu than anything- they didn't carry much of a, if any, light rig or sound system with them- just their equipment.

my point was that billy isn't going to sabatoge his bands anticipated first gig in a city by playing storytellers. nobody wants to see that. people would walk out.

October 29, 2007 - THE SMASHING PUMPKINS FORCED TO POSTPONE TONIGHT'S SHOW IN ATLANTA

The Smashing Pumpkins have been forced to postpone tonight's sold out show (10/30) at the Fox Theater in Atlanta after drummer Jimmy Chamberlin was admitted to a hospital after experiencing some chest discomfort. Chamberlin will rest at the hospital tonight and is expected to be released Wednesday.

Information about Wednesday's show in Atlanta is TBA--updates for ticketholders will be made available as soon as possible.

It wasn't deleted, we just decided to make a new post and hide all the comment because there were almost 100 of them. It's been de-activated for now.

People just tuning in might get mislead by some of the comments posted there. Please understand.

Words cant describe how pissed I am. I took vaction days to go to both shows. I also have tickets for the Athens show. I heard on the radio that he will need to rest for at least 7 days. Putting that show in jeoprady also. I really dont want to go anyway. I will put them up on StubHub. I agree with the person who said they are not buying anything Smashing Pumpkins. I second this. I will never buy an album again. Where is Matt Walker when you need him. Suck it up Jimmy! Stay off the drugs!

Nah, he is in his early 40's right? He has lived a pretty rough life (smoking,drugs, hard lifestyle). I would say he should watch this stuff.

I just wish there was official word on the show tonight.. I'm not sure if I should drive down or not. My original plan was to make a day of it, but not much point if there is no show. It is confusing when the Fox Theatre website says the show is going on, but then Ticketmaster is already refunding money? So many conflicting stories... But barring a miracle, the show is NOT happening tonight, as per Ticketmaster (which updated their site sometime around 9PM last night) and 99x.com, and Fox Theatre website.

yeah, i get that it sucks to lose your money and time, and i'm sure anyone here would be upset about that. But the band is not at fault here. While it's true they should update the site, considering there are literally thousands of fans wondering if their show is still happening or not, and it's true that i'm completely disappointed because i've been looking forward to this since i first bought my tickets this summer (or even since i found out they were back together), I won't get angry with the band about it. That's some misplaced anger, there. Actually there IS no good place for your anger, this was no one's fault.

I really like how you break things down to where I know what's going on. It's not like I'm in atlanta or anything. I think my point is pretty clear and relevant. I'm not mad at the band. I am pissed at the overall turnout, lack of comunication directly with the fans in atlanta, and other shit.
