View Full Version : "The Boy" appreciation thread
hummer26 07-10-2007, 02:28 PM The fat kid on youtube was pissed about james not being back. And frankly, so am I. I actually really like zeit but I miss songs like blew away and the boy......these womanly songs can only be made by mr. Iha himself.

Dogfighter28 07-10-2007, 02:29 PM "The Boy" is one of my favorite b-sides and really contains the very essence of SP1, and everything that SP2 is missing.
WeilandFan 07-10-2007, 02:37 PM I really like James on "Go," it was better than a lot of the crap that made MACHINA.
telex 07-10-2007, 02:41 PM the boy is awesome. i agree that it distills exactly what is missing from the current pumpkins.

Anvil Hands 07-10-2007, 02:58 PM James Iha is a smart man.
His legacy remains intact and all the new publicity will surely sell a few old SP albums thus making james a couple of bucks without having to do shit.
And I bet he has a copy of Zeigeist and now after hearing it he feels like Albert Einstein.

You're right. :)
Gossamer 07-10-2007, 03:06 PM The Boy is a great b-side.
telex 07-10-2007, 03:11 PM reviews keep repeating that "smashing pumpkins was always corgan's band", but what made them tolerable and dare i say interesting was that it wasn't ONLY corgan's band. i love billy and all, but there needs to be a glimpse of something else once in a while.
vitaldust 07-10-2007, 03:16 PM the boy sucks
iha has a horrible way of writing songs and he should never sing anything ever again.
